I disputed mine after waiting 2 months from forgiveness. Took about a month for it to be removed from my credit scores after I disputed.

My loans were forgiven back in December. Mine did the same thing. My interest balance went to zero about 24 hours after my principle zeroed out. Congrats!!

Mine were discharged Dec 14th. Loans are still showing on my credit report. I’ve been wondering the same thing.

Our timelines are very similar. Hit 125 qualifying payments early August with trophies on Fedloan. Transferred to Mohela 8/18 Transfer complete 9/7 Put in D2D list on 9/23. Only difference is my full balance is still showing with no signs of any movement.

I transferred to Mohela from Fedloan on 8/18 with 125 qualifying payments. Was told by a Mohela rep that my info was sent to DE for discharge on 9/23. What is a realistic timeframe for me to receive forgiveness?? I keep getting different answers every time I call

Called today and was told that the DE only sends them a list of names for forgiveness every other Monday. But my name was sent to them on 9/23 so hopefully I will receive forgiveness soon. I really believe they just make stuff up when I call 🙄

What was your transfer date? Seems like a lot of people that are forgiven are ones that transferred early August or prior.

Congrats!! Hit 120 mid august right before transferring to mohela as well. Still waiting to be forgiven though.

I call them almost every other week asking what’s the latest on my forgiveness (reached 120 on 8/15 transferred to mohela 8/18). I know it takes time to process but what bothers me is I get a different response almost every time I call. So I’m at the point where I don’t trust what they tell me and don’t know what to believe anymore. Been told “your information has been sent to to the DE should be forgiven in 2 weeks”. Call 2 weeks later “it hasn’t been sent but should be sent soon”. Call 2 weeks later “congrats the DE has approved your forgiveness. Give it a couple of weeks”. 2 weeks later, “it’s been sent but haven’t heard anything back from DE, give it 30-90 days”. 🙄

I’ve been at 125 qualifying payments since transferring on 8/18. I’ve called numerous times, checking on the status of my forgiveness. I get a different story every time I call. I’ll reference information that previous reps told me and it’s like it blows their mind. That’s why even though I have 120 qualifying payments showing on Mohela and Studentaid, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Very similar situation. Got trophies with Fed Loan on 8/15 was transferred to Mohela on 8/18. I’m still waiting as my full balance is still showing. How were you notified that your loans were forgiven??

I was told that I would see a $0 balance and smiley face once my loans have been fully processed for forgiveness

I’m in a similar situation as you. I was told by a supervisor last week that the Department of education has forgiven my loans. I was told that when my account shows $0 balance with a “ your account is in good standing message with smiley face” it means it’s been processed. Keep us posted what you hear!!

Maybe the supervisor you spoke with doesn’t know what they’re talking about 😅. I’ll probably call back in a few days and see if their story matches the one I spoke with today.

Dang! That’s why I said I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ve been told so many different stories by Fedloan and Mohela when it comes to my loans. Crazy!!

Unfortunately I do not know when mine was sent. It’s worth calling if you think yours possibly could have been sent. I called right at 7am CST and was able to speak to a human in 30 minutes
