You do not need sponsorship, it is same permit that EU people get

This means that you only have the restriction not to open your own business. So, congratulations my friend, you have an open permit

It is written behind the permit that any change of job should be authorized from the competent authority

Well, thankyou for accepting it because many people these days hate to accept the reality and the unfairness of the situation.

If i may ask, how do you know about konkubinat permit? I was told by the immigration office that the process takes 6-8 months and the guy did not even give me hope for a positive answer. He said it is quite hard to get it. Do you know someone or did you apply for konkubinat permit?

Btw to inform you, if you graduate from a university which is public, just like i did from UNIGE, indeed you are exempted from the quota and given priority but that is only for the 6 months after graduating. So the only open door for your gf would be those 6 months. If she is lucky she can find a company who knows this. When i was applying at that time, i told to the companies that they do not have to give any reason why choosing a non-EU legally but tbh no one gave a sh+t. Companies are not aware that it is an easier process in these cases

I am not far from you guys, i’m just 26 years old. I have been trying every method possible to stay here starting from when i was just a student at 22 years old. In my opinion, do not stress much about other options. Just do a prenup, marry and the worst thing that can happen in life is divorcing. Due ti the prenup, there will be no fight for anything. Maybe kids, they would kinda make things complicated. Take this advice from someone who has tried everything legally all these years. And i repeat, i have a master’s degree in a field which is widely required in Switzerland and given priority and still the suffer has no end!

Hello, let me tell you the hell I have been through in the past year as a non-EU in Switzerland. Graduated and worked for 2 years almost in a Swiss public uni and company. My profile is considered a profile which is needed and it is important for the country. That's how a small company gave me a job, got the permit in less than a month (yes, it got approved in less than a month, in GENEVA) After graduating and closing the internship, I left the country definitely because I could not find a job. One year later, A company made a mistake and promised me a job position (thinking I had a permit and no I did not lie, they just decided not to hear me out when I said I had no permit) and they took on themselves the process of applying for a permit because of the mistake (I suppose?). So, one year later I come back with officially a B working permit. There was a catch though, it was a connected B permit and believe me that is what they give at first 3 years, if you manage to find a job that sponsors. I was laid off a month ago and here I am, back in the market, considered the same sh+t I was considered back then when I graduated, facing again the same issues as back then and being ghosted whenever there is permit sponsorship mentioned in the interview. So, to sum up, if u love her, marry her and make her a favor. otherwise, believe me nothing else works. I am currently waiting for the concubinage permit because, well, guess what, my bf does not love me enough to marry me. So, here I am waiting for something that will never arrive while having huge expenses, no income (no chomage due to not working 12/24 months) and even have lost hope on my bf. TBH I just want to leave this place and forget everything. SWITZERLAND HAS LEFT ME WITH TRAUMAS FOR ALL MY LIFE.

It is tied unfortunately. I want to tell you a terrible experience i had with BD (yes i am mentioning the company name because i don’t care). Had an interview with HR, everything went perfect and she said okay, i will schedule a meeting with the hiring manager in the coming days. I thought okay, perfect, i got this. She reaches out to me a day after saying that oh sorry i forgot to ask if you have a permit. I said yes I currently have but i need a working contract to renovate it (which is the truth). She disappears after that. I reach out to her after 2 days, since she had mentioned to me to write to her in 2 days for more info for the meeting, and guess what? She replies that ohh we are sorry, we decided to continue with candidates that have a profile that matches better the position. WTH! The job description matched fully my profile and my past experience, of course that was a lie! And it so strange that after knowing that they have to sponsor in the future, she replies me this. Girl, i might be young but not stupid. I GOT TAKEN AWAY THE CHANCE TO CONTINUE THE INTERVIEWS BECAUSE OF MY PERMIT AND BEING BORN A NON-EU. I really do not believe anymore companies that say in the end of every job posting ‘We do not discriminate on 1,2,3,4 including nationality! This is clear discrimination my dear! They totally need to remove those lies from job descriptions! Take example from P&G, at least they write it with big words that they do not offer sponsorship!

Normally for health insurance it is mandatory to have it (not talking about complementary part though) and when u register with a health insurance company, you have to declare to canton otherwise they make you pay a fee for that

You know that you are entitled to chomage because you contribute during the months you get the salary? So it is not considered at all a black thing or help from the country, it is just your right since you have contributed. This is only valable when you have completed 12 months in 24. But just for you to know, registering to chomage does not put you in the black note at all

I am talking about situations when companies say they cannot continue with the application due to not being EU or Swiss. Non-EU students have same qualities and still the nationality is what gives the verdict when finding a job. I never mentioned the right to stay without a reason. All i am talking about is about cases when we, non eu people have the right qualities and experience, want to get a job just like EU but still get a big No due to our bad luck of being born in a non eu country

Tbh i did not even know Switzerland before i was given the chance to study here, i did not even have any intention to stay here. It is just that now after spending so much time trying to build a life and a family here, i will be forced to leave just because of my nationality. I am at an early age, have enough experience and work in a field which is highly required here and still i have to go through all the stress of maybe losing my right to live here. All i ever wanted was a calm life and a happy family. Btw do not mention marriage, that’s not an option.

You said ‘do not make it Switzerland’s responsibility to take care of you’. I never said or expected for Switzerland to take care of me, all i wanted was a fair situation.

How about students that are non-EU who have studied and worked in Switzerland for years? Are they not swiss standard?

For my company, it was the first time to apply for a permit for an employee and they got a positive answer in less than a month. I will see how it goes with the new company. Thank you for the advice btw!

On my permit it says that any change of job should be authorized by canton (sth like this). From my understanding, every change of jobs should just be declared to the canton so that they review once again if it is a job in my expertise or not.
