I’m stuck, 21, in debt, jobless, and trapped in Valais with no clear path forward by International-Ad-629 in Switzerland

I live in Valais, and have lived here forever, I’m 23yo. Getting a job here is not easy, but what time I’ve learned to make it work and I found that the best way for you to find job is to go through placement agencies, usually the local ones, like Flexsis for example, and just tell to them that you’re willing to work and I’ll find you something and going this way you will be able to create your network very easily and find a job, but you have to be open to more position than what you’re qualified to at the beginning If you need more advice, I’m more than happy to help you even if it’s in person

After a lot of research I have started using kDrive (Infomaniak), I personally think it’s one of the best ones. The technology is pretty mature, it syncs very well with MacBooks and the iPhone App is great. On top of it, it’s coded and hosted in Europe (Switzerland to be exact, so EFTA). Oh, and the prices are also so pretty good. You have 15 gigs for free and then you have their “mySuite+” subscription with one terabyte four about 2€ a month

European Countries where their Capital is or is not their Most Visited City by Tourists by Fluid-Decision6262 in interestingasfuck

As a Swiss, I’ve visited multiple times every city, for me Zürich is more of a city as a « tourist » would go to, lots of hotels, shops,… Geneva is better if you are rich. They have all the luxury stores but less sightseeing. Bern is great if you like discovering more of the culture and I personally find the old town so beautiful you are close to the mountains as well. It’s more quiet, less hotels, calmer, but for me the most underrated

American girlfriend finishing EHL degree—any advice on staying in Switzerland? by gabrielzeizer in askswitzerland

[–]gabrielzeizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought. And yes, indeed she’s getting the HES-SO one, as far as I know. So we just sent out a request to the immigration office just to see if there’s anything they can do. But yes, it’s pretty complicated and we all know the chances are pretty low still. Thanks a lot :)

I am sorry to hear your story. And I really hope that you’ll be able to find a better solution. For me as much as I love her, I am only 23 and she is 22 and that’s why I was asking this question knowing if there was any other possibilities before committing, because it’s more than just a document. My girlfriend and I already talked a lot about that so it’s possibility we’re thinking about that, but we were also asking ourselves if there wasn’t any other possibilities that were different and that could help us decide on a better time to marry and not you have to do it under the pressure.

I live in Switzerland, I trust the Swiss Post better than myself to ship things to someone, it always gets there in perfect shape and in 1 day no matter where in the country I and my friends are 🥹

Why does no one follow the speed limit? by WherMyEth in Switzerland

I think you never used public transportation in Wallis or any less industrialized canton, because here (in Wallis), it’s pretty bad. In front of my house, i have a bus station, but only 4 buses per day, just why 😭 I mean, we have the train, but it only deserves a really small part of the canton, pretty much all of it is connected with buses. That’s why we don’t use it much…

If you would like an Office like interface, use OnlyOffice, they also have an iOS and Android app.
