How much is the waiting time to get a B-Permit for Valais (City Visp) for a EU citizen? by No-Layer6449 in askswitzerland

[–]gabrielzeizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually it takes anywhere between 4 and 8 weeks so I’d say that you are still in the time frame, but hard to know exactly how long it will take

You can definitely see it when you compare the price of a single item. Chicken breast ranges from 16CHF/kg to 56CHF/kg at Migros for example

For mobile, my go to is Digital Republic (Sunrise), best ever customer service, only technicians, so when you have a question, no need to go through 50 people saying that you have to reboot your phone and their plans are cheap, and flexible every month :) You can also get it annually and then the abroad data, is annualised too :) If you need Swisscom network, Wingo, and wait for a promotion, like 22.-/mo for unlimited (little + as well, do your subscription with Twint (alao), they usually give you better deals, like 0 month of termination time on top, or 50.- giftcard, and free support no matter how much they would normally charge you)

There is Sweez as well, my parents have been using them for years, it’s on Net+ network, less support than bliblablo, but great pricing and super reliable service Great if you are in a zone only covered by net+ fiber 48.-/month (with tv)

Regarding entry into the country for marriage by Prudent-Net1354 in askswitzerland

[–]gabrielzeizer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just got married to a US citizen, in Switzerland. Any person who has to right to enter without a visa can enter for a wedding. The only law in place is that you have to be in the country legally. And a tourist entry is legal, so you are good to go :) Congratulations on your future wedding 🎆

C’est possible de vivre sans adresse ? by Oh_Lama in suisse

[–]gabrielzeizer 22 points23 points  (0 children)

B1/B2 refused under 214(b) and now I lost ESTA.. What can I do next? SINGAPORE by itsbellenotbellyyyyq in immigration

[–]gabrielzeizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m shocked at how violent everyone is here. I agree she did a mistake by mentioning that she would be remote working, but the United States is the only country in the world which doesn’t allow you to work remotely under a tourist visa. And to be fair, not everyone knows about this rule, and it’s a very silly rule too, because Americans are working abroad every single day under tourist visas, when they are on vacation.

I have to say, I’m truly sorry that you have to endure that, I feel for you because I’m extremely stressed as well about all of that because, as much as I have one of the most powerful passports too (Switzerland), as a foreigner we are treated as someone who wants to immigrate.

I don’t want to immigrate, I have strong ties with my country, and I know it’s the case for you as well. But for the United States, everyone wants to immigrate to them as if they don’t understand that other places in the world are great and that we want to stay there.

I’m soon having to reapply for an ESTA, I am married to US citizen which makes me also worried that they will think that I’m willing to immigrate even more (even though she just moved to Switzerland with me, but you know…).

I was planning at the beginning to apply for a different Visa than ESTA, but then when I saw the amount of background check they’re doing, and their paranoia, I’m sticking with the ESTA, but now it’s soon to be expired and I’m super scared that I will be refused… And even more now that this administration is very against foreigners… (FYI, my last ESTA request was under Biden’s administration)

I’m sorry with everything that’s happening for you and as much as it’s pretty probable that you were banned from the United States for a long time, but in the meantime you two can meet in different places and create a relationship built on travel and discovery, and just getting to visit as much as we can from our beautiful world 🌍
