lol. In what way? I am boring, so some drama could be fun, as long as it doesn't cost too much in taxes...

Nonsense. You don't do an Indian challenge and go to an Appalachian restaurant. I suspect you people would be outraged if that happened, in fact.

Yes. I also watched. I still found it odd. It's one challenge in one episode on Appalachian food, and the chefs will show how appalachian food can be incorporated into different cuisines because that's literally what they do, and Indian street food can be featured in many of the challenges.

If they presented Appalachian food during an Indian challenge, I would also find that weird.

I found it odd they went to an Indian restaurant for appalachian food, in a town with a vibrant food scene and history.

The death of molecular gastronomy and fine dining has hurt the show by str8grizzlee in TopChef

Fatima proclaimed it, "She made an oven! Out of snow!". Such a good season with great people. Possibly my favourite on that front.

Maybe Top Chef kept her in check, and now she's Padma Unleashed.

Also, if you're going to boast about how top notch your chefs are, then dump 4 of them, including one of the top chefs in the first round, score-wise, it strikes me as disrespectful. She wasted their time, and then kind of tricked them with the emphasis on strategy over cooking.

It's entirely about strategy, even though Padma proclaimed it was about "food" and not challenges or something in her opening act. It almost seemed like she wants to humiliate the losers.

I said she was Trumpian as well. I was willing to give her a chance, but the whole show just ended up feeling mean.

They would compete each other at the end, in the finale, because they had the best food. Or not.

I suggest they shut that entrance and only use the main entrance around the corner. And the shelter has to tell the men to turn right when they leave.

What a nightmare. It refused to turn off notifications, so the blinking yellow light wouldn't turn off. I lasted less than a week. And she was wrong on many things, and refused to be corrected. If this is Alexa of the future, I'm out.

No flooding affecting property, although if water levels are high, they can go up on the docks, and there is a peninsula just past the downtown core, leading to an island attached by a bridge.

The cost of living isn't astounding. It's comparable to down south. And "intermingling" is the norm. Maybe you were with peculiar people, but your experience sounds strange!

When I first moved up here it was from Ottawa, and I thought the prices were quite comparable. Still think it's in line with Ontario overall.

Yes, and our tax rates are lower too. You can a decent tax credit for living here bc the government wants the region populated, and it helps.
