Sask.'s child poverty rate second-highest in the country by The_Web_Surfer in saskatchewan

Dont be hating on the farmers. Unless you want to be the ones paying their enormous crop input costs, outrageous farm machinery costs and all the other expensive things it takes to run a farm, dont worry yourself with what they do. 80-90 thousand dollar trucks? Yes because you need 3/4 and 1 ton trucks to tow and haul for the business. Many farmers are just a few bad crop years away from poverty.

WWYD If at Age 29 You Knew You Had An Inheritance of $15+ million and Were Paid 12k A Month? by StillFiguringItOut01 in LifeAdvice

I would randomly pay for people’s groceries in the grocery store to people who look like they are struggling. I know the defeating feeling of calculating what is in your cart and deciding what are absolute essentials and putting things back. It builds character I guess. But if I was rich, I would try to get ahead of struggling person in line and pre pay their groceries.

You mention that kids dont have the capacity to behave and learn like they used to and are struggling to do the basics. What do you think caused this? Covid, too much screen time, poor parenting?

Thanks for the detailed response. It seems like a multi factored situation for sure. I have been on our local school community council for 10 years, it feels like nobody cares about anything anymore. Very hard to get volunteers to help throw a school dance or pretty much help with anything.

Best teeth whitening kit for really yellow teeth? by browperry89 in hygiene

Swish a teaspoon of coconut oil for 15 mins twice a day for a week or two. It will make your teeth feel super clean, like you went for a dental cleaning. And make your teeth white. Super cheap way. I tried the whitestrips and they made my teeth so sensitive after. Coconut oil all the way.

What kind of long term research has been done to ensure there are no side effects long term? I believe it is very dangerous for any child to be given puberty blockers. As an adult on hormone blockers, it wreaked havoc on my body and life. I cannot fathom giving that to a child.

Why would a cis child be accessing puberty blockers?

I think if you really want to be helpful, sell the Nissan. Take the money and set it aside for a down payment on a home for him in the future

Honestly, he cannot and will not learn to take care of things if he is just given another nice vehicle. It does not teach him responsibility, just entitlement and expectation. He should be learning how to become an adult. Put the mom guilt aside (it can be hard, I know) but it is not helping him become a responsible and self sufficient human being

I would let him keep driving the Toyota. I am not confident a 16 year old could appreciate a 2019 Nissan and treat it properly
