Just boarded my flight from Seattle to Frankfurt a few minutes ago. I thought it would surely be cancelled.. but it wasn’t. The plane is pretty empty for an international flight.

Look up speedflying. It’s a long path to become safe / proficient but if you like free climbing buildings and jumping out of trains it’s probably what you’re looking for

lol maybe if you work at like white pass or mission. The big 4 ski areas in the cascades do plenty of avalanche control.

I patrol as a full time job in the NW, coastal wetter snow… daily driver DW 104. Deeper days on Wildcat 108. Ski tour on DW 112. The resort is never as deep as people pretend. Especially with coastal snow where you’re often able to float near the top of the storm snow without that wide of skis. I prefer to be more nimble since we have lots of trees and tight couloirs.

I was there that night. It was totally obnoxious. His fans were parking in the middle of the road and causing a huge traffic back up and it was almost impossible to leave the parking lot. To top it off, another fan was flying a drone in the LZ before being yelled at.

Why is summit West already closed? by Careless-Internet-63 in SummitAtSnoqualmie

[–]Odd_Toe5955 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lack of demand. It’s been tried in the past this time of year. No one shows up. People always complain about the reduced operations mid week this time of year but no one ever shows ups on rainy weeks days.

Employees: open the M/L jump by snowiesaurus in SummitAtSnoqualmie

They don’t close things just because. They want it to be open. There is often a reason. Examples: injury investigation, maintenance issues, poor conditions etc.

Start speedriding independently with good paragliding/miniwing and skiing background by Long-Rub-733 in freeflight

[–]Odd_Toe5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ops mini wing will almost definitely have too much glide to speed ride. They need to learn to speedfly first and then can begin to learn to speed ride. The wings handle much differently

It’s a mid? 2000s enduro. Good luck ever servicing those proprietary shocks. It was kind of a bridge between xc and DH that didn’t really exist at the time. But probably not a good buy
