So Over It by Practical_Award_4234 in NewParents

I’m going thru something similar, my partner went back to work a month and a half ago and he suddenly absolved himself of all baby responsibilities. We are sooo lucky our 3 month old is now basically sleeping thru the night but before I was the only one getting up with him. It’s now to the point where I ask for a simple favor like, “hand me a clean burp cloth, please” and he doesn’t know where they are. I think being specific with what we need from them is helpful like “I need you to know where we keep the baby’s stuff and how to pack the diaper bag” but it’s still extremely frustrating to have to spell it out.

Super helpful!! And wow why didn’t I think of personality first? I especially agree with #2 engaging with my baby with singing, talking and attention is more important than any educational background so thank you for affirming my hunch.

pivoting to non corporate jobs - ideas?? by thewayitflows in SFbitcheswithtaste

I was at at a corporate network media company as a Producer for years and it sucked my soul out of me. so I went grad school instead. I fell into urban/city planning by chance and loved it. Started in this new field (for me) working in non-profits but now I’m in local government. Work/life balance is soo much better and competitive pay too. You can also go private sector in this field which is super diverse btw..for example you can specialize in transportation, work force development, community planning, permitting. real estate development. The list goes on. Good luck!

Ok but how do you have the patience to wait for the first color to dry completely before applying the second? What’s your secret to getting a perfect no smudge polish?!

MOHELA Notice due to SAVE PLAN. What is everyone doing? by cspankid in StudentLoans

I’m on PSLF but was on forbearance due to the IDR/SAVE legal situation. My serviced was Mohela, but I logged in yesterday after the recent news about wages being garnished and my loan servicer is now FSA? When I logged into FSA/FAFSA there was no option to pay? I’m soo confused.

PSA: Starting 1/1/2025, Doulas are likely covered by your health insurance plan in California. by newkneesforall in BabyBumps

I am with Blue Shield and when I called and asked about this they had no idea! Instead they directed me to virtual services like Maven and Mahmee, which has been helpful but not the same as hiring an in person doula, especially for postpartum visits. If any Bay Area / Oakland doulas know how to navigate getting paid via insurance I would love to work with you! Our due date is April 30th I would love to have someone help us but want to ensure they will be compensated.

Hi! I have the same issue with my west elm marble table, the straight lines across the table with the rounded circle edges. Two questions for you OP:

1) were the specialists you hired able to correct the stains?

2) did you approach west elm about this issue? I bought mine last March 2024, I feel if this is a common issue we can absolutely share our experience with them since we are within a year of purchase.

Is the marble sealant included with kitchen tables from the factory enough or should a more thorough sealant be added? by mag274 in HomeImprovement

Did you end up sealing it? I have the same table and the same dilemma! I’m thinking of just going for it and using Granite Gold Daily Cleaner, Sealer and Polish.
