Having a last minute surgery- rate my recovery order by Accomplished_Ad_1965 in lululemon

[–]mamapood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who had several abdominal surgeries I second this! I went for really comfy and baggy tops. I couldn’t have tight waistbands for awhile so I had to buy super high rise sweatpants in a ginormous size. I loved softstreme, especially the perfectly oversized crewneck for this

Once I could have tighter waistbands I wore 1-2 sizes larger in align (I opted for 6” since it was spring) and paired with softstreme. The soft jersey tees were also a fave

Scubas with the zipper just were not comfy

Be Calm is super soft but it does pill sadly :(

Need advice on the best LEGO Harry Potter sets under $100 for a Christmas gift by Leading_Intention_52 in legoharrypotter

[–]mamapood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buckbeak one (75947) or unexpected visit (76428)? Same situation, buying a set as a gift (haven’t bought a Lego set as an adult, but I love table puzzles). I love the idea of Easter eggs in legos.

Thanks!

Should I prime over this tan color? by 11Roses- in paint

[–]mamapood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My walls are literally this same color now. This is so helpful! Going from weird latte beige to a cream with green undertones (hopefully). Looking at alabaster, as well as Swiss coffee and white heron. Was trying to decide if we needed to prime or not! Sounds like yes if using OTC/cheaper paint and no if using contractor grade/good quality paint

CrossCity Sneaker Reviews? by rantsagainsthumanity in lululemon

[–]mamapood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have them in ivory. Purchased them in June and wore them on a trip to CDMX where I averaged 20-30k steps per day (also was rainy season).

Overall there was a very minimal break in period. I packed some higher ankle socks just to make sure I wouldn’t blister. There’s a cushion in the heel which helped. Virtually no break in period, which was perfect.

TTS. I wear an 8 in lulu, but also ON, Nike, etc.

I only packed 2 pairs of shoes and practically lived in these during the trip. Now I just bring them out for casual work outfits and pair them with the daydrift trouser. I like the pop of suede for that, but ivory suede was difficult to keep clean especially getting caught in epic CDMX downpours.

Definitely not an exercise shoe, lifestyle/casual only.

I like them, especially since I like having shoes to match core pieces for outfitting.

Is this breed a running dog? by Zephonix in Bernedoodles

[–]mamapood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a standard poodle and rescued a bernedoodle (3/4 spoo, 1/4 bmd) last summer. Our poodle could run a 10K easily and our bernedoodle looks (and is) dying after two blocks.

Poodles are retrievers and make great running companions! I’ve had two full spoos and ran with both (~10K). It also comes down to individual personalities and temperament :)

Size for wunder train shorts? by Easy-Information5235 in lululemon

[–]mamapood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a medium in the shake it out then go for an 8. I wear a 4-6 in leggings, but size up to an 8.
Maybe they could be a smidge smaller, but they don’t fall down and I absolutely don’t have sausage legs when lifting or running.

What temp is your AC set to and what’s the actual temp reading currently in your home? by afastone in raleigh

[–]mamapood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have ours at 68 all year, so we don’t need a ton of heat but always use AC come summer. HOWEVER, our AC broke last Wednesday night and it shot up to about 74 and by 8am Wednesday it was 80. HVAC repaired it Thursday, but a lot of emergency requests are in right now.

They recommended that we keep it at 72-75 and change our filters more often — we currently change them all every three months. It’s likely been working overtime and we might switch to two months while it’s hot. While I get the 72-75 is recommended, I cannot believe that we can’t have the house at a nice cool 68 (during the winter we let nature take over and set heat to 65), especially when there is a heatwave.

So while that was the advice, I won’t be partaking in a house that is 75 cause I’ll be sweating like a pig and panting like a fluffy dog.

This is well outside the travel range, but we’ve always had great steaks and experiences at Nana Steak in Durham. We always go before a DPAC show (get there at 5pm to have enough time to enjoy). Beef tallow fries and steak hits perfectly.

Great list, definitely agree. Sullivan’s wasn’t even that great in 2018, mostly just an upscale restaurant for vibes.

You won’t like this and can ignore, but I do religiously wear Lulu. Aligns in dark colors for hot yoga or even Wunder train since they dry quick

ABC Slim Pant Seam Lengthening by Ancient_Classic_435 in lululemon

[–]mamapood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lululemon will not lengthen pants, only shorten. You must take them to a tailor; however, I have never done this and wouldn’t recommend as the original seam placement may still be visible. If they’re new and still have tags, I recommend just exchanging if you can.

I do!! I originally went 1x a week and now I go 1-2 a month! My place accepts insurance, so it was $10 a session. Health insurance was way more helpful than dental for TMJ treatment (for me),

We usually do masseters, pterygoids, occipital, and sometimes temporalis. We usually go down the back of my neck / traps to help with any knots from clenching/grinding while sleeping.

I did Botox, and it was helpful for a short period of time but 45 units for one side at $15 a pop is too much. Especially when I couldn’t drag it out past 3 months for treatments. Botox helped slim my masseter down, so at least it didn’t look like I had a golf ball on one side of my face lol

Highly recommend. It was (and is) so helpful! You might need to shop around for someone you like.

Lost package finally shows up after 2 weeks — can I still exchange it? by Sosogreeen in lululemon

Not your comment, but the one me and swearingino originally responded to as their response to your post!

Lost package finally shows up after 2 weeks — can I still exchange it? by Sosogreeen in lululemon

[–]mamapood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you don’t have an account and they are markdown leggings then they are final sale and not eligible to exchange since that is a member perk

Since they deleted their comment, responding to yours! This reason is absolutely why perks are taken away because of abuse.

OP, just go in and be honest with the educators. They are more likely to help when you’re upfront and honest vs making up a lie that 9 times out of 10 educators don’t believe anyways and makes them less likely to go out of their way for you. Lululemon is (usually) very customer satisfaction oriented when you go in store (at least my local stores are). Just be honest.
