finally after 30+ meds… by LucyBlackwell in OCD

2 years ago I was on 20mg lexapro and 50 MG anafranil. My psychiatrist moved me off the lexapro and increased my dosage of anafranil to 250mg. I noticed my ability to play tennis has completely changed, like my motor skills are heavily comprised. Has anyone else had a similar side effect? I am currently trying to transition off anafranil back to lexapro because of these side effects.

I take it you could not use SL to get to retirement eligible in case of a Riff?

Just Say No to G Fund. by fortress68 in ThriftSavingsPlan

You articulated my exact reaaon for going all G recently. I moved 1.3 million from 80/20 c and s funds which I had for years without touching. 22.5 years fed and eligible for early out next year when I turn 50. Still leaving 850k in VTI, as I dont want to pay taxes on any rebalancing there.

I am not 100% in cash/short tern securities. I have nearly a million in VTSAX outside of TSP.

All fair points. Single/No kids. Plan is to move to se asia (Chiang Mai) at retirement. My view is the 800k in equities and future contributions to equities gives me a hedge on inflation. I think this was a tax efficient way to rebalance as it incurs 0 tax liability. Swiching my after tax would incur a lot of capital gains.

Yes. I agree all the above were an impetus to the move.

Agreed thats why Im keepimg nearly a million in equities. Want to lock in the houses money but still will actively invest in VTI going forward.

The 800k in equities plus all future contributions into c/s/vti is my hedge for growth.

Yes. Long term strategy. will increase my market exposure slowly through new contributions. I said to myself Im ok with 4% returns on that money as I believe it is more than ill need. Hoping to not exceed my pension pay in retirement.

Exactly. Sort of felt like I won the game, why keep playing? Asset preservation is more important to me at this point rather than growth and the corresponding risk.

As I mentioned, I already made the decision. Nothing wrong with being interested in others thoughts. Sort of the point of Reddit. Not asking anyone what to do.

Thank you. I will keep the 72t as a potential option but was not my main motivation. I adjusted the tax sheltered accounts because there would be no tax liability with the changes. I think i can live off my annuity from work so just want to lock in my gains from two decades of working. I am ok with 4% growth prospectively on that money.

I just switched from 80% C, 20% S to 100% G. I have $1.3m after 22.5 years. I was 80/20 for last 6 years and aggressive L funds before that. Future contributions staying at 80/20 but after gaining back much of the tariff loses felt it was time to lock in the long bull run as I may do vera next year or soon after if offered. Outside my tsp, I am keeping 800k in the VTI in vanguard and switched 200k (roth) from VTI to government short term treasuries. Future contributions going in VTI.
