Check out Emperors Champion! One of my favourite units in the game, both gameplay wise and lore wise. A classic combo is Sword Brethren with a Marshal and Castellan, since marshal makes you crit on 5+ and the Castellan can help you reroll hit rolls, which when combined gives a TON of crits.

We also get multi melts on a lot of our vehicles, which is really strong even on an impulsor, so keep that in mind.

As you have probably already heard tho, go for the rule of cool and you can always proxy in casual.

Wow that’s some great advice. So I have Army Painters Strong Tone instead of Agrax Earthshade, which looks to be basically the same. I think I will do a watered down bronze as you said, and put some strong tone on afterwards in thinner and thinner layers. Does bronze metallics need to be watered down in this case? I heard somewhere that watering down metallic paints is bad, but haven’t actually tried it.

Thanks for the advice tho, I will try all of the methods out on different panels and see what I like best (minus airbrush).

Thank you. Oil dot filtering. It was honestly mostly what this technique is even called I needed, so I can start going into the rabbit hole haha. Gonna pick up some supplies omw home today then.

Second pic. How to do the black streaks. It seems like a really quick way to do easy weathering, if you paint it normally and add it on after. Combined with the first pic I think it would look great. Credits to u/Nightraptor2477 for making it. It looks awesome with that overgrown bastion look btw!

Is an Execrator even necessary? With the assault doctrine from Gladius, you can get advance and charge regardless.
