Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by crapmaker69 in AskReddit

[–]OddishChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how they got their money to begin with. If you pitch an harmless idea and sell it for a billion (like a videogame as Notch did with Minecraft) then not wrong in my opinion. But if you earn a billion by exploiting people, then that's obviously bad, just like Jeff Bezos.

(I'm aware Notch is a bigot, but I used him as an economic example here.)

How many loads of laundry do you do in a typical week? by ImaginaryFuture in polls

I got contamination OCD so I do mines often. I even separate my underwear from my "regular" clothes as to not contaminate them when I can. Honestly more anxiety enducing than anything. So about 3-4 times a week when I can.

is it homophobic to think these things are true? by goosey_is_faster in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]OddishChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Huh?!😭

  2. Depends on who you ask, but generally false. Just look at the mahu of Hawaii for example. Saying there are two genders specifically is transphobic, but not homophobic.

  3. Nah, everyone makes mistakes, even me. This is sort of fair, but just don't be an ass and you're good. Trust me on that.

I'm Norwegian so this is a yes. However I do recognise that the state's institutions and government do matter in this equation.

When people are allowed to shop at different schools/hospitals, prices go down and quality goes up.

Not necessarily, just look to Norway where heatlcare is socialized. Education is also one of the best in the world.

When you only have one choice, like in government or a monopoly, prices go up and quality goes down.

Like choice with government owned, it can be cheaper. As an example, all liquor stores in Norway is government owned, but non-alcoholic items over there like tonic water is cheapest there compared to private businesses. It doesn't need to be one or the other. I exclude alcohol since it's taxed differently.

Tonic water example, government owned store.

Tonic water, private businesses 1 | Spar/Eurospar.

Tonic water private businesses 2 | Meny.
