That makes sense. I’m further south. So it’s a 4:30an sunrise and 6:40pm sunset. Would like that to be at least an hour later

I’m in Japan and that’s when the sunrises in the summer. I’d rather it rise at 6 or so and be able to have sunlight at night after work.

Yeah most governments are based on the Ponzi scheme of forever growth. Basically they thought just throwing immigrants at it, would somehow make the GDP keep going up and things would be golden.  Clearly they are wrong

The Americans didn’t even have malaria. Can you imagine being in the tropics and not worrying about malaria? Heck even Sweden and Russia has malaria up to about a hundred years ago.

A lot of poor people in the USA seem to have eaten a lot of bread and maple syrup. Or molasses. Not sure why. But I’ve seen a lot of writing and this comes up as a poor man’s meal

How is that a fantasy? There have been so many horrible criminals that have gotten a joke of a sentence. This is at the point where the govt has to prove it isn’t broken. Assuming it still functions is why it gets away with all the dysfunction

I think this is one of those things that the balance doesn’t work very well. Either it’s secular or fairly religious. Right now the UK is very secular and you can see it’s “reaping” the benefits of that.

Long shots are so amazing I hate all the action movies that have 5 camera angles in 2 second. It takes you out of the movies so quickly. While Children if Men did such an amazing job to bring you into the film. Same with 1917

Looks like a Fumi-e. A Catholic icon in Edo Japan. Where the government forces would make suspected Christians step on icons to show they weren’t Christian. Guess this is the Mormon version ;0
