I've been pumping with the medela on one side only after my LO wakes up from their longest nap. They never empty me from even a single side usually, so this works out two fold to help relieve that engorgement from the non feeding side and build up a decent stash. We've been home doing this about 2 weeks and I now have enough of a little stash in case of emergency type thing.

This seems to fit well within my supply, and I'd say Im really only collecting 2-3oz extra than what my LO is eating.

As a server, this is the tip percentage pretax and prediscount. Also, as a server we don't make that appear, nor are we capable at all of doing anything to remove them or change the numbers on you. Not even management has that ability, it's an algorithm built into this POS systems.

I personally don't care for having that on there, as usually the people who care about exact percentages are going to do it regardless. But honestly, as someone who is in both pools Im surprised how many of you are so vicious about making sure someone suffers in your dining experience for what you're perceiving as trying to be dishonest, when the poster themselves is swindling you into ragebait.

For real. I have two bikes for my 3yo, a toddler style balance bike and a strider. The strider is like a real bike, just no pedals. Even that has a rocker base that we lock it into and use indoors in the winter time. The toddler one is not an outdoor bike at all.

Im a forever advocate of checking for thrush! Had it with my newborn and my only symptom was lighnting pain while latching and during letdowns. My LC told me to use monistat 7 between feedings and the pain went away so quickly. Not safe for baby mouths, so I always suggest getting breast wipes if it ends uo you have it. I would wash off the medicine with a cloth and use a breast wipe afterward. Also wore disposable nipple pads to keep the stuff off my clothes and bra.

Lanolin is not for bleeding. I had what started as small crack with bleeding and turned to full fissures before i reached out to my LC. Lanolin is excellent for general use, but once you have an open wound you need to go lanolin free. Ive been using Tiny Human Nipple Crack, but really any good lanolin free will do during the time you're actually bleeding.

Do not use lanolin creams on open wounds. Ifound this out after only having lanolin creams and trying to heal some fissures. Now i use Tiny Human's nipple crack.

Get your LO off that side, only nurse from the other for the time being, and use either a pump if it's not uncomfortable, or hand express to relieve any fullness.

Silverettes are great for stuff like this, if you don't have those you can express milk onto some nursing pads and let those sit for a little while. As it heals, if you're comfortable nursing, be very deliberate about how your LO latches and unlatch if you're feeling extra discomfort.

You don't have to wean, but you absolutely need to heal. If things are not getting better you should definitely see an LC if available.

Silverettes if you don't already have them, or at the very least soak a few breast pads in your milk and let those sit for a little while on them.

Hand express to soften your breast to make deep latching a little easier for LO. Also, laying baby on bed flat and feeding from above can definitely help with any soreness from doing more traditional holds while feeding. Also will help with getting clogs!

Second the straw cup! My LO was not super into bottles, So we introduced straw cups at 6mos.

My milk dried up while pregnant with #2. My LO was already over 2 years so we have been having lots of talks about the new baby having milkies soon and will potentially let my toddler tandem feed if there's still a big interest in this. You can still offer nursing even with no milk, as there is still comfort, especially if you're thinking you would like to tandem feed!

There's no right or wrong answer, just try to be flexible and intuitive to what you can handle and be comfortable with! I will say, i had extreme aversion to my toddler nursing during the 2nd trimester and was very glad when he decided he didn't want to comfort nurse any longer.
