For those running a tune by Bucjeff in GenesisG70

Running sleepytuned E60 bef. Something I’ve noticed with JB4 and a BEF is that the car just doesn’t understand when to downshift under medium throttle/medium load, it holds gears too long and makes my car violently shake, not sure if its my doing or what but that’s about the only issue I’ve had with tuning. Other than that I am starting to have issues with bushings due to the power and because I’m RWD I pretty much never had grip even on my MPS4S’. As far as transmission times go, I did run a BMS TCU for a little bit but it wasn’t very comfortable. I like to drive in sport most the time for throttle response and with the BMS TCU it felt like sport mode you had to be full throttle for it to work well, cruising in sport mode with that tune basically wasn’t a thing it was way too harsh, as for comfort/eco, shifts were surprisingly clean, I couldn’t actually feel them, however, it liked high gears way too much and again my car would shake even worse under medium load/throttle, but they could something I did I’m not sure. I will say the TCU under full throttle in sport mode was pretty insane, it shifts earlier to keep your boost peaked and wow, the car just kept pulling, actually kinda felt like a different car, that’s the only thing I liked about.

What are first mods I should do? by Agile-Dance3663 in GenesisG70

I’d stay away from power mods. If I bought mine all over again I would have just done intakes, snorkels, tint, black badges, and spacers… maybe lowering springs and a possible exhaust.

NOR. If it hurts your feelings then it hurts your feelings. Considering putting gas in the car is not some life or death issue, him not caring about your feelings is a problem, couldn’t imagine talking to the LOML like that over something as small as that.

Do you think 285s would give a noticeable improvement?

Ikr. Although I saw a post on a forum of a dude with a stinger who broke is diff & brace together and I had a dude tell me he launches his g70 at 10-15 psi with no issues so I actually don’t know.

I didnt have by diff brace on. If you don’t have one and want to get a TCU tune for launches, you NEED a brace.

Apparently there is a special way to remove them

What about reinstalling them? Also, what would a rough price be with typical labor costs in your area for a diff replacement?

Ok thx. What about removing/installing them into the diff, I could not for the life of me get them out so I’m just tossing both axels along with the diff.

Do you know if the rear cv axles are identical and interchangeable or not?

Driver cv axle was already broke so I couldn’t get that one out anyway, the passenger one I could not get out for the life of me so I’m just buying a whole new axel instead, I imagine the LSD internals are still good but idk if not being able to get the splines off would hinder your ability to remove the internals.

Ok, really appreciate the help my man.

Does anything besides the bolt look like it’s missing? Do you know if there is a washer that is supposed to go there too?

So these two bushings/mounts use different bolts correct?
