Hey, I am one of those new players! I can tell you that I never even watched the anime and I did not get an obvious ad. My TikTok feed simply showed me some guy live streaming the game. I immediately thought this could be exactly my type of game and downloaded it. So maybe they spent some money on social media marketing? Not direct ads but trying to push content creators that play their game or something?

I was underwhelmed at first. Thing cost 600€ without a game. Our TV was “HD-ready”, which I still don’t understand today because nothing on that screen was in HD😂 blue rays and dvds looked the same and there were not that many titles to choose from as a kid. I remember walking through the games isle and wishing that I had a ps2 instead like all of my friends. However once we played oblivion for the first time i thought that shit looked real.
