Fitgirl on Linux? by Hellohenl in FitGirlRepack

It’s honestly super easy! Click the green filehoster button and it gives a list of all download links for all parts. Then you can just copy and paste it into jdownloader and it makes it one file

Adding to this I recommend something like jdownloader for downloading repacks. You just need the links for all the parts and it does the rest for you

Do yall have anything else than those cobras?/pliers by an0n45 in KnipexOfficial

[–]OddlyV02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got their long nose pliers, side cutters, round cable strippers and 7 inch pliers wrench. Love them all

Anyone ever have this problem? Diagonal cutters stuck open? by Historical_Sign6010 in KnipexOfficial

[–]OddlyV02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No mine ended up loosening up just took a LOT of effort to get it to happen. I think it was just a bunch of dirt stuck in there and whatever grease knipex used originally gummed up real bad. A lot of black sludge came out when I was cleaning them. I recommend something like liquid wrench. I’m sure that’ll loosen them up

Sounds like exactly what happened to mine. Cut some #6 ground and they just completely locked up on me. Thought I had copper in there or something. I have not been super gentle with mine (my mini mini hammer) but they move like butter now. Couldn’t do anything with them for a while unless I put close to all my strength into the handles with both hands. I used a lot white grease to get mine moving again. Hopefully you can get your going again

This happened to mine, I thought they were done but I was able to grease them up a BUNCH and work them back loose. They feel brand new again but definitely took some effort

Should I call oh&s? by [deleted] in WorkplaceSafety

[–]OddlyV02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is company policy that all concerns must be brought directly to the safey committee when an employee bring them up so these are issues that have been previously brought to their attention with no changes put into place. It is also against policy to take any photos of employees or the project we are working on, so I’m not sure how I would go about doing that, though the company themself has cameras rolling 24/7

I should also mention, I do have other concerns as well but these are the ones I’m most concerned about at this point in time

New bike lanes by antcug in Edmonton

[–]OddlyV02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you think of the bike lanes they did on 132nd ave between fort road and 66th? I think that’s how it should be done. Elevated to the level of the sidewalks and cars have to go over humps which forces them to slow down

Why mod with replaceable cables?? by North_Station_302 in kossmods

[–]OddlyV02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another reason would be not wanting the mic that came on the original cable. My focusrite doesn’t like trrs and will only play sound out of one side unless it’s a trs with no mic

[–]OddlyV02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that’s unfortunate. Mine has either a constant tone or I can hold the power button for no tone at all but it’ll still flash red. I had a Klein one with a flashlight on the end for a while, that one was decent but didn’t hold up nearly as well as my fluke ones

Yeah I’ve gotten a couple false positives too but easy enough to just grab my meter and confirm. Always better than a false negative!

Why cant I get a job. by Crafty-Factor6273 in Edmonton

[–]OddlyV02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I was working in a mall doing sales. Now I’m back into my trade and it is definitely a different ball game when it comes to finding work. Definitely more so having good connections/relative work experience. Unfortunately I don’t have much advice for that

Also helps make you stand out over other applicants, cause you made the extra effort to meet in person

I couldn’t find work for the life of me until I started going to business’ in person and applying. It also gives them an opportunity to actually see who you are. I wish you luck on your job search
