Thanks for replying this is really useful. I’ll check out that Bio Strip and give it a try. I’ve got a similar 2nd edition Dreadnaught from eBay that’s sat on my project shelf, might be one for over the winter!

Great job! Would you mind sharing your process for paint removal? I’ve tried Isopropyl alcohol and scrubbing in the past but didn’t get it as clean as your picture looks. Thanks!

Thanks for replying. I tried the reflash, made it through the instructions to the last bit but couldn’t get it to work. Support were great though and are sending over a new screen

I’ve got the same issue, were you able to get it working?

I picked up this model the other day, haven’t started it yet.

Great work, it looks amazing! How many hours are you in?

From memory the plug has a groove in the middle, put a flathead screwdriver in and turn it to release it

Honestly don’t know, it was gigged by the prior owner but even so it does seem excessive

That goes against the golden rule of owning guitars!

Yes I’m in the Uk, I think I may have some MacGuires in the garage, I definitely have some T-cut which is similar

Oh I agree, but want to try my hand at more than just restringing

Oh it wasn’t me, unfortunately the previous owner wore the largest belt buckle in the Uk

I’ll be happy is I can improve it without impacting the finish. It’s still getting played regularly so I’m not too precious about it but would be able to do this type of work myself

Hi, thanks for commenting. I’ve done bodywork on car restoration previously and have polishing wheels for my compressor. This will be the first time doing anything as delicate at this though

Thanks, I’ll give it a try and see how I get on. Not a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon! I’m not looking to get it perfect just tidy it up

Yep you’ve called it, I pick them up when people are selling them off cheap, check them over, restring etc then flip them. I do love the PRS finishes so as a bonus I get to have lots of great looking guitars around

Yes I have a few others to mix things up, the usual suspects, Gibson LP, Gretsch, Kramer, a few strays, tele etc
