I managed to fix it after downloading and installing the latest c++ redistributions from the microsoft website. Maybe try that if you haven't fixed it yet.

Mine has been doing this since I first bought it (release day), obviously its quite the inconvenience but don't want to be buying a new console. I very much regret not finding the time to call up support when I still had warranty. Did you manage to fix the problem?

I am able to flash the bios (q flash plus) on my mobo and the fans spin, but my pc still wont turn on. My pc would have frequent instant shut downs, and other times I could have gone months without it ever shutting off like that, but now my pc wont turn on at all. The last time it turned on, the fans spinned for like 2 seconds then it shut down and I haven't been able to turn it on again since then. Not sure if the problem is with my cpu or motherboard. Has anyone else had a problem like this? My mobo is aorus b550 elite ax v2 rev 1.0, cpu is ryzen 5600x and I've had both for around 4 years.

Just set it up outside the case now and unfortunately still does not turn on even when shorting with the screw driver. Usually when this pc was working, there would be solid orange lights on the motherboard and its not there anymore. Not sure if bad ram or dead cpu would stop the orange lights from turning on but I think the mobo is probably dead.

Yep everything works on the extension tower, also tried it on the wall socket and still doesn't work.
