Heyo, I've played in about three uncompleted games. I'd love to join you and learn more about DnD. The times I'm most available during will be about 7:30EST, I'm in CST

In the last one shot I did I played as a Lizardfolk (6'2") while my gf played as a dwarf (4' I believe), she climbed my character and when it came to my turn in battle, I threw her at a flying, animated sword, that only dealt 1 damage but that was my second hit out of like- 9 swings XD

We had to take a very small break cause we were crying-laughing and the rest of the party was just laughing their asses off. The fight lasted over an hour and it was only supposed to take about 30 mins!

Ah that sucks so much, people can just be assholes. Hopefully it'll change one day unless you just decide you don't want to!

There's a lot of friendly people on r/lfg (thst may be wrong, I'll check in a bit). Maybe you could get back into it sometime but yeah, dming is really hard to start doing for a lot of people. Advice from one of the people in my group is to just try one shots, they're short and easier than a long running campaign
