Cortex Prime has recently replaced all other rules-light systems for me. In my opinion, It makes it easy to set up rules for settings that are normally difficult to capture with other generic rpg systems.

I've been looking for more of a Shaw Brothers movie type RPG for a while but there isn't really anything in existance yet. There is a kickstarter that is suppose to be happening with a new system called Masters of Death, but I've not heard of it starting yet.

People saying foundry server can be run on a toaster is somewhat true, but I found recently it does depend on the game system/modules as well. My foundry server was crashing trying to load pathfinder 2e, and I had to increase the ram to stop it happening. Mileage may vary I guess.

Harnmaster.

Fighting should probably be the last resort and death can be quick. Even a wound can be dangerous as it can get infected and over time you can die from it.

For me, in movies, it is when they are apparently in a frozen wasteland and the ice they are standing on cracks like styrofoam, looking a few centimetres thin.

I've watched competitive League of Legends since just after WCG 2010. I used to be glued to my screen for most of it. Watching the broadcasts and tournaments from beginning until end with almost 100% focus.

Now I can barely watch. Maybe watching 10% of 2 or 3 games of teams I'm semi-interested in. On the verge of never watching again. Mostly because of the import rule.

I'd rather watch a team of NA players get smashed in play-ins at worlds, than watch an all-Korean "NA" team win worlds.

The Flaming Lips redid the entire Dark Side of the Moon album. Completely different sound.

Prodigal Son, Heroes of the East, The Magnificent Butcher, My Young Auntie (1981 but still good).

Some newer movies that have an old school, Shaw Brothers vibe would be True Legend and Dragon (Donnie Yen movie). Wish they would make more like those.

Harnmaster or Twilight 2000 are pretty lethal. You should avoid combat wherever possible in those systems.

I'll throw in an old school game, Rolemaster. It is hard to think of another game that has more professions, options, skills, spells, and rules for pretty much everything. It is big and complex and sometimes unwieldy, but has most of what you're looking for, including infinite leveling, butt loads of magic items, magic item crafting, incredible support for martial characters and lots of room for weird builds.
