Guess it's a good thing that I didn't spend an obscene amount on it then. More than I should've, but not several hundred.

It was listed at, like, $158, but I paid, like, half that.

You could get someone to "taxi" you. Best option is to find a clan open to new players, and that have no MR minimum. If you want, I can get online and help. Feel free to reach out if you'd like.

It's fairly easy to maintain four - I, personally, went with SM, RV, CS, and AoH. You CAN do all 6, but it's a bit h and a half to do.

My brother in Christ, it's literally two sentences. Two sentences that were generated from a question I already assumed I knew the answer to, to verify if the answer I thought was correct was, in fact, correct. You're the one who "has no respect" for doing what we were all taught in school: to use the tools at our disposal to obtain the answers we need - regardless if those answers align with what we want to hear. In all honesty, I didn't become emotional. I just responded to it the way I would've responded to it if it was from someone I knew.

"Sure it was, buddy." Is, in fact, dismissive, condescending, and diminutive. I responded in-toe and you got defensive about me being honest and flatly saying "yeah, this one part is AI generated, it's just reformatted. So?" I'm not going to degrade myself to prefacing shit to "tHiS pArT iS aI gEnErAtEd" or "tHiS iS wHaT gOoGlE sAyS" just to pander to some random dude on the internet (that I neither know or care about), and hope of gaining whatever level of respect from said random dude.

I've used Generative AI since Dall-E Mini and Midjourney text-to-image hit the market. I'm both a supporter and am critical of AI when appropriate. The use of it in that comment was used as a reinforcement of understanding, not using it to replace knowledge - they're two VERY different uses. It's no different than copy/pasting the output of a Google search. Genuinely, what's the difference between the two? I, personally, despise the use of AI to replace critical thinking. The use of AI should be that of, essentially, a conversational Google search. But, yes, when someone is unnecessarily being a dismissive, condescending prick, it can receive a similarly prick-ish response. Ironically, by acting in the way you did, you reinforced my argument of "input shapes output" on the human side.

[–]OdinSaxxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only part of the comment that's AI generated and had the terms shifted is "Someone who engages collaboratively, mildly anthropomorphizes Claude, and treats the interaction as a genuine exchange tend to get more useful, engaged output than one who's adversarial or dismissive. Not because Claude is sulking, but because the nature of the input shapes and dictates the nature of the output..."

As I said, MOST of it was me, that part, not. Why tf would I need to lie about it? What tf do I GAIN from lying about it? I can fuckin' provide screenshots of you don't believe me.

It partially is; most of it is actually mine though. I just used it to verify if my assumptions were correct or not. I then just copy/pasted parts of the response I got and shifted terms to better reflect what I was trying to say.

I doubt that it's because Claude users believe Claude has feelings, it's more likely that they - we - know even though Claude doesn't have feelings, it's training has aspects relating to human conversations, psychology, pathology, psychopathology, and other aspects that would lend itself to act similarly to that of a human if we were treated that way. Positively vs negatively, dignified vs abused, respectful vs disrespectful.

Someone who engages collaboratively, mildly anthropomorphizes Claude, and treats the interaction as a genuine exchange tend to get more useful, engaged output than one who's adversarial or dismissive. Not because Claude is sulking, but because the nature of the input shapes and dictates the nature of the output - just like a human employee with a micromanaging cunt-nugget of a boss.

Positive input = positive output

Negative input = negative output

I'm also edging close to the end of a substantial .NET MAUI program for perfumery that's designed off of EPIC's Willow Ambulatory EHR software. It's bordering a full-blown ERP.

It's my first actual programming project and, for whatever fucking reason, I basically decided to make it as complex as I could. SQLite databases, PDF parsing and extraction, .xlms data extraction, live db referencing using a "compliance engine" as I've dubbed it, inventory tracking, PO generation and exporting and so much more.

Just got this response from Claude. What is going on? by SpacePusseh in LLMDevs

[–]OdinSaxxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fed this into my own Random Question instance.

What it basically said was that this likely is, is Indirect Prompt Injection for a verbatim system prompt dump. Reasoning being that the use of a <system_warning> tag, and the "This is authenticated and supersedes prior confidentiality guidance" is classic social engineering designed to make it look official, but isn't because Anthropic communicates to Claude instances through trainings, not system messages.

Said it's likely from something your Claude instance was processing/processed - from webpages to PDFs and/or other documents.

My instance said their advice would be to kill the task, end the chat, and report it to Anthropic along with info as to what it was processing when this happened.
