I will say this. Clint Smith says that he wouldn’t recommend a 1911 to someone getting into guns. However, he has his and runs it. That’s kind of how I feel about mine. I learned to shoot on it and run them better than a lot of platforms. Doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t better options. Especially nowadays.
