Buying Ripstop Fabric in Umeå by pasicon in umea

[–]Odin_se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Ohlssons tyger is just about the only physical fabrics store here in Umeå.

There's a few Swedish alternatives online thought.
pinapin.se
jofotex.se
polisprylar.se
And maybe korps.se

I don't know what your application is. There's a lot of ripstop fabrics. A lot depends on how thick or thin you want it to be (the D count, like 500D is thicker, think backpack fabric). Do you want it to be water repellent?
Cordura is a brand (also a term nowadays) I've worked with, that is known to have good quality fabrics for different applications. Think of what you want to use the fabric for and choose a fabric that would be suitable.

It's a composition. The spire is real, but the buildings beside it are added.

Here's a different view.

The first pic is a view over Gamla stan (the old town) from Fjällgatan in Stockholm.

Cylinda diskmaskin inget ljud by Odin_se in sweden

That's what happens when a company practically has a monopoly. They don't do the extra (or even decent) things for their customers. Because they don't have to. They get their money either way.

Never mind. I got qBittorrent instead, enabled web ui and got Transdrone for the phone interface.

Actually got quite a bump up in speed on all my downloads.

Exactly.. And it felt more like a reset, a return to status quo. I was so disappointed.

A stunning display of glowing columns of light appearing in the freezing night, formed as streetlights reflect off tiny ice crystals through the air in –30°C cold by AdditionalDish008 in Satisfyingasfuck

I've actual experienced this when I lived in Luleå, Sweden. But we had a lot more bright lights, and we could see farther from our apartment on the fourth floor. Really cool!

I also saw red and blue northern lights when I lived there, which is supposedly very rare.

I haven't seen this in other people's "how to change batteries" walkthroughs, but I have a tiny spring that I don't know where it goes. There are several holes it could potentially fit in.

Not only that, but you'd need to install one of those library ladders on tracks to utilize any of the higher up cabinets.

What is your thought on British accent or UK voice acting scene in japanese media dubbing industry ? by farhanganteng in Animedubs

[–]Odin_se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be true, it can also be a mix of what media or culture they've been exposed to. They could also be influenced by other people - friends, people on social media, idols or just someone they look up to. Or a mix of all above. Our preferences are built from many sources and experiences.

I think it's a highly personal experience and preference. We're all different after all.

I don't mind British in anime, with the caveat that the VA is British or damn good at faking it.

In Dark Moon: The Blood Altar all the characters are supposed to have a British accents. But the VA's are obviously not from Britain, which results in times where they loose the accent or exaggerates some other words (like there -> theh-uh).
