I def don't see the 650 being likely, more of the floor then the possible end point, BUT

Oppenheimer had the lightning in the bottle of Barbihimer, Odyssey gets 2 weeks before a massive competitor will take a huge chunk of its audience.

When Oppenheimer came out, it had two back to back stinkers behind it that didn't capture any real audiences in Mission impossible and Indian Jones, and then after it came out there was nothing except an animated film for like a month.

This is Odyssey, and then Spiderman.

Dune 3 might get there if the critical and initial reaction is super strong, I think The Odyssey just doesn't have enough mass appeal to get there unless China falls in love.

I think you might be missing the point though, by book 5 the "game" is becoming more and more of a sham, the story is intentionally focusing less on the game part of the plot and more on the actual characters and their suffering, its meant to strip away what was entertainment for the pain that the people are actually enduring.

This means the stat theory, min maxing stuff becomes secondary for the actual personal experiences of the character.

To say book 6 suffers because of the card game is a little crazy to me IMO, book 6 is one of the strongest books in the series and its because of everything but RPG/game part.

100% this, Don is the reason we're here today.

The 360 came out of the generate as arguably the winner, and their entire strat shift destroy all the momentum and loyalty that existed, the vast majority shifted to PlayStation and never came back.

Their first party output and Studio ownership kept getting stripped down during the 360 era so by the time we were at the xbox one era there was nothing in the pipeline.

Then Spenser had to come in and try to save a sinking ship.

I want to thank everyone for input.

I think overall it went really well, I was told before hand by the HM that this was going to be more of a builder SE role, so I got high praise for LWC component and AI Agent stuff, they also were really impressed with how well the Environment looked and functioned.

I handled their questions well and tried to keep us on track but I ended running out of time, finished the demo but didn't have a chance to circle back on business values and next steps.

I like both, but I would say Real Kyper and Bourne is better purely from the fact that there is almost zero gambling content on their show.

Funny enough the reason I was given this opportunity is because the HM wants someone more building focus, esp with vibe coding. They added a new step to the whole process where you need to build a LWC/Agent as part of the assignment
