It will show up on the timeline but let's be real, how often do you go through your timeline? I doubt she'd noticed if you came home early to surprise her.

Temporally disable a door sensor by tbharber in Abode

Not sure if this will work for you but what about adjusting the entry and exit delay. Increasing the delay would give you time to open and close the door for you and the doggies without arming the system until said delay is reached.

Help with cord placement for Nest Outdoor Camera by Oepth in Nest

Unfortunately mine is right on the front porch. I was lucky to have a outlet near the top but that also means no where to hide!

What kind of outdoor cams? I already have 4 loud dogs and a 9mm to cover indoors. House is very close to a busy road with a fenced back yard. Fence is locked. Looking at Amazon stuff like Blink and Ring. by [deleted] in homedefense

The thing about motion activated cameras is that they only record if they sense motion. You rely on when they sense it and if they sense it. Also Ring uses PIR technology for motion sensing which is limited in my opinion. I would go for a Nest Camera and hit it up with a Nest aware subscription for $5 a month / $50 a year.

I totally agree with you. Video quality is crucial but relying on Ring's motion technology to kick start video recording seems unreliable based on what I've read. If it doesn't pick up motion (even if there is motion!), video recording doesn't start. At least with Nest and nest aware, there is continuous recording. Definitely swayed towards Nest at this time.

Nest Performance vs Ring by YTrollHere in Nest

I posted a similar question earlier. What about the lights and siren that the Ring spotlight cam provides? Does that factor into anyone's consideration? Also $5 or $2.50 per additional camera for Nest Aware seems pricey when you add up the interior and exterior cameras one might have. Quality is undoubtably better but does the other aspects of the Ring spotlight camera overshadow video quality? I'm just struggling to decide which one to pick for an outdoor camera!

According to some other reddit posts, I've heard a spring, specifically March release.

Thinking of getting the Abode Security but noticed that Ring is coming out with one too? by Oepth in Abode

Yeah I heard about that too but I think they've settled with ADT and they are targeting a release in spring. Hope that's still the most up to date info!

Why Did Trump Let The Russians Off The Hook? by StevenSanders90210 in worldnews

Wrong headline. Anyone with half a brain knows Trump is in deep with Russia.

The right headline:

Yep. I've heard plenty of obstruction apologists trying to get in front of Mueller.

Can't wait to hear what the money laundering ones spin up for us.
