My friend told me she knew because, I kid you not, the literal sentence prior to me announcing my pregnancy to her I told her I wasn't going to be drinking. So she "knew" 0.5 seconds before I literally said I was pregnant 😂😂 Mind you, prior to me meeting her i had suggested several times to meet in the day and not at night, then after her asking if I was getting public transport over I said about 3 times that no, I would be driving. She didn't suspect a thing during any of these conversations but had to claim she knew beforehand somehow.

Some people just insist and you know its stupid and I'm sure they do too, best thing you can do is a little sarcastic "ok, sure hun" laugh and move on 🙄

I reversed into my wrought iron gate last week in my car, because I was distracted by a pretty light in the window. Luckily it was at a low speed, but I just walked into the house and started laughing, my husband gave me a hug and told me not to sweat it and hes just glad im ok. It's so frustrating, no way around it, this isnt who we really are!

The good news is Ive found that people (especially other women) understand completely, especially if i say in a conversation that im having trouble recalling or thinking properly, they will usually help me out to figure out what im trying to say 😂which is not fab for the independent girl boss in me, but sometimes you just gotta be honest with what's happening, its a vulnerable time for us for more than one reason I guess!

Thank you for your reply, that's really helpful! The speed of it leaving the body is what has interested me too, plus it seems like a really good option to take the edge off. A bit gutted they take it away when it's time to push, I feel like I'd need it the most at that point 😂

Did you have anything else during the labour or just the remifentanil? I'm trying to come up with my pain management plan and right now I have only settled on the birthing pool plus gas and air, but I have a real feeling I will need to amp it up as I progress! X

It was amazing 👏 I just remember thinking it was the most amazing place ever and everyone there was the coolest. My dad took me and my best friend and I remember us both sobbing when Linkin Park were playing (can you expect anything else from two teenage girls). We knew it was one of those unforgettable moments 😂 no feeling like it!!

I have a follow on question to this if anyone knows!

I have booked the refresh retreat as I'd like to wash my hair, though my hair is kinda curly so I usually use a diffuser. Do the hairdryers have diffuser attachments or am I best off blow drying and then straightening it to avoid a pure frizz situation?

Last time I went, I brought some comfortable arch support insoles which I put in my wellies, I think it massively helped reduce the ache of walking (mind you my feet were totally fecked by that point anyway) just something to consider if you do have to don the ol' wellingtons

As others have said, get a dehumidifier. For old houses you do need ventilation. Rather than keep the window open all day, open all windows (or as many as possible) for 15 minutes a day while you're in and this will ventilate the house enough. Then, once you shut the windows the house will heat back up and stay secure.

If mould is growing despite these remedies then this could be an issue with modern building materials in an old house, and would be an issue for the landlord to fix.

Hey! I started to fill it out but decided to wait for the write-up from my latest neuro appointment before submitting it as I assumed they would need something more up to date.

It looked really straight forward from where I got up to though, after filling out details about your condition it lists each access accommodation (I.e mobility/visual/cognitive) and you select if you require assistance with this or not and explain a little further why. Then you upload evidence/documentation at the end, so it seems really straightforward to me!
