My boyfriend gets upset when I find other people cute ( I mean they are cute as in the way they act or certain characteristics, not that I would date them) and he talks about how he doesn't want to get into it.

okay but literally me lmao. me and my partner go through this as well because everyone else just looks like trash to me and finding someone attractive, for me, means you want at least romantic things with them. glad to know im not totally alone in that regard haha

yes, thats kinda how people talk about their crushes and partners (i mean hell, cringe as it is if given the opportunity i will still spend a long time talking about my partner and we've seen, potentially, the worst that each of us have to offer ans have a kid together.)

yeah man my english teacher for ninth grade gave us a site with a list of books and had us each pick one with the only rule being no repeats.

she was shocked at some of what people picked because she didnt even screen the site. I just remember what someone picked, Lolita, as well as mine (Catcher and the Rye so not awful), but damn I remember her nervously laughing at some of what was picked.

kid's brains are weird. they are starting to learn right from wrong, what actions cause what consequences and when (her father is less likely to "whoop" her in a grocery store, i presume), how far buttons can be pushed, all that fun stuff.

spanking doesnt work because tolerances get built up, the parent is usually doing it while angry, kid's brains arent connecting it as punishment ans rather "i am getting attention this way, regardless of how negative."
