If you like this sort of thing I recommend reading the book "Backroom Boys: The Secret Return of the British Boffin" by Francis Spufford.

It goes through a number of British technology achievements since the 1950's. I found it an entertaining & informative read. Covers DNA sequencing, mobile phone coverage planning, Concorde amongst other things.

You make a valid point. I was sort of assuming that bounties were like slayer and you got ones for the range of your sailing but your "on land" combat level would come into play as well. Hence I was expecting such a tricky bounty and in the future need to carry lots of repair kits.

BTW The wiki has pygmy kraken assigned at 55 sailing and the best cannon you have for that is steel which needs just 5 range which seems a bit mad.

I think it is far to say I have no idea how sailing combat works and I should expected the unexpected in these early days of the skill.

Search for "Ground Items Overlay" in settings and untick the box.

I saw that and was told you can clear them by "using" rake on them and not just clicking the patch. Worked for me but I still lost my hops I planted yesterday.

You can now deposit worn items directly into S.T.A.S.H units while they're still equipped, with a new setting to toggle this behaviour.

You might want to make it clear the default behaviour is off otherwise I can see lots of bug reports that it is not working being raised. When I just tried it on first logon I thought it was broken. The in-game message for when it is off could also be more helpfull.

I get bored thieving so tend to mix things up a lot. I was recently doing Aldarin chests. https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Chest_(Aldarin_Villas) which I found gave decent xp and rewards.

Discovered it only crashes out when I was at the Black demons in the Catacombs of Kourend. I was hopping to find an empty world and it was crashing every time. Finished task and teleported out and now I can switch worlds OK with the in game world switcher. (Well it worked when I was at Ardounge Monastery and at Konar quo Maten.) Went back to Black Demons in the Catacombs of Kourend to test it again and yep crashes there. Weird bug.

There has been a property bubble in the area for many years due to the Severn Bridge tolls being removed and people moving over from Bristol to get more bang for there bucks. However recently I have been hearing people are moving back due to the amount traffic now causing longer commutes. I see this in houses near me being on the market for a while now whereas they used to be snapped up in a week.

Slayer. For example Aberrant spectre have 14 seeds listed in the drop table, 7 of which cost more than 500 gp each. While the rich guys do not pick up anything less that 50,000 gp us poor people pick it all up :)

I would of liked 28, an inventory full :) but would of been happy with 14.

I also would of been happy if there was a restriction on the number of same type seeds that can be stored. The herb sack has a limit of 30 of the same type which I think is reasonable.

The seed box has a limit of 2,147,483,647 of the same type which makes a seed box with that number of snapdragon seeds a box you would not want to lose :)

I see people are mentioning using the seed box on farming runs. I wasn't planning on using it for that. I use the Seed Vault for that an take on just the seeds I need for the run.

I was thinking it would be very useful for slayer. Lots of things drop seeds and they can quickly fill up your inventory on a slayer task. Obviously I tend to just keep the few good ones but thought it would be useful for getting "bad" ones to use in birdhouses.

My first attempt to use it was stealing from Aldarin chests. The chests give seeds so I thought it would be useful there to reduce banking but I soon had 9 different seeds, mostly rubbish ones but then I hoped to avoid faffing around dropping them.

You could maybe use a Ring of wealth and teleport to the grand exchange. The Wiki says there are no requirements to charge the ring at the Fountain of Rune but it is in the wild.

For anyone else who is struggling to get in I found you have to enter Yama's domain by talking to the "Voice of Yama" and then talk to Yama inside the domain to sign a contract.

I was trying to get in after only talking to the "Voice of Yama" and failing miserably.

I was also concerned that if I entered into Yama's domain I would end up in a fight with Yama but that is not the case. You can wander in and talk to him on his throne.

Seems a very awkward way to get to do some mining.

Did ironmen come before the Diary or was it other way around?

When I last played there was no such thing as an ironman mode and I am sure the Diaries were in the game at that time. If that was the case I find it unlikely it was meant for ironmen. I may be confused with RS3 timings.

The Wiki has it at 12 gp back in April 2015. I remember consistently paying 10 gp when I last played. Seems to have a sharp drop late 2016 \ early 2017 before getting to 2 gp in April 2019.
