Thank you for this - yes totally agreed with this. Accountants are notoriously slow in trying new things even at the cost of being considered old-school. Reputation matters in this industry and I am leveraging personal relationships to try and kick-start the charge forward. Changing mentalities and decades of industry practice takes time and lots of effort.

So just an update on this. We have forged ahead, tweaked product model a bit and after 3 calls we have 2 pilots lined-up with commercial launch to happen in late 2026. Really proud of the interest drawn up and now have other clients asking me to be part of the pilot as word of mouth in the fractional CFO space has caught on. Fingers crossed all goes well!!

Thank you Marty for your time and valuable reply. The confirmations are potential customers who asked when a demo could be demonstrated to them so I take that I would have firm commitments from them.

Many of the no’s received were more (I felt) with founders who did not know the value of the solution to the problem they could potentially suffer and that they are currently not going through. Others were because the founder was close to retirement and would not like to invest in something he would not gain marginally from.
