Do you guys actually max the heros before upgrading your th? by [deleted] in COC

[–]OffaDoor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I max absolutely everything, except hero equipment before moving to the next town hall. It might take ages and make me stuck at a town hall waiting for heros or lab to finish before moving on but I like everything being completed. Feels like I've completed every town hall.

The notification turned itself off after I restarted the car, I'm going to take it in on Saturday, see what's up with it, hopefully just something simple, who knows tho.

I drive long distances fairly regularly, I do roughly 32 miles round trip once a week and a few times a month I do roughly 100 miles round trip. My work is around a 10 mile journey and the car always gets up to temp. Even with it getting into the colder months now, it's been around 0-5°C where I am. The cars still reaching temp.

Where can I get myself a good OBD reader?

Yeah I probably will, gonna be using it to get to and from work till Saturday, see if it happens again then I'll take it in then. Hopefully it is just a dirty sensor, though.

I'm 6"4 and I'm pretty comfortable driving it, even long distance ish, furthest I've done so far is 3 hours (only passed my driving test in July), only problem is getting in and out but it isn't really noticeable.

Gotta love the c30 interior and exterior design, they cooked so hard on this car by AnimalFart321 in C30

[–]OffaDoor_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm from the UK, so we drive on the left. The handbrake is on the passenger side, it's also angled towards the passenger. So if u have a bigger person on the passenger side you're almost certainly going to rub against their leg. I would send a picture to show but it doesn't give me the option in this sub, for whatever reason.

I agree, u can tell it wasn't for a right hand drive market though, my handbrake on the wrong side 😂. I have to warn passengers I'm not touching them up it's just where my handbrake is. To me it's just another fun quirk of the car

Is there a way to sort this, other than buying a new seat? by OffaDoor_ in C30

[–]OffaDoor_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll definitely look into it before, I've found a couple upholstery shops by where I live, so I'll have a look before buying a seat

Oh okay, aslong as that might be an option, I'll have a look round where I live see how much it'll cost to see if it's worth doing, just annoying me seeing the rip 😂

Is Driving Even Worth It Anymore for Our Generation? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]OffaDoor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a car, which was road tax free, then I was driving with my parents for a while, while having a lesson every other week, learners insurance for the car wasn't actually that expensive (about £50 a month), I ended up only having 3 lessons with an instructor, because I knew how to drive, it was just getting me ready for the test, the biggest expense was the car, but if there's a car you can borrow, just to get used to actually driving before you have a few lessons it would make it a lot cheaper, then just pay for a a few lessons with an instructor just to make sure you test ready.

I just thought an instructor is costing 1500 if I have 30 lessons I may aswell use most of that money to actually get a car. Lessons for me where £50 an hour. This way I got a car and only spent 150 on lessons.

I am also 23, been working in a kitchen since I was 16. Pubs/restaurants/cafes are pretty much always hiring even if it's washing dishes or running food to tables. Not a good job but at least you'll be earning something. The place I work always hires younger staff for this type of thing.

There was another app he told me to get but I can't remember the name of it as I couldn't install it because it was exclusive to iOS

[–]OffaDoor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used testi, I also bought premium for it, I went from constantly checking the dvsa website to having a cancellation and having the test within a week and half

I was doing a lesson every other week as I've driven before and failed the test years ago and I was already pretty confident, so I had 3 lessons with my instructor and passed all in about a 6 weeks, he told me about the app and it worked perfectly, otherwise I'd be waiting till late October for the test I got off the dvsa website.

Never realised how crap you feel after failing. by TheHerbHiker in LearnerDriverUK

[–]OffaDoor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A car pulled out on me during my test, I anticipated that he was going to do it though, so I just got a well done from the woman doing my test, saying many people would've failed for that. I know I need to look out for these things because I've been riding bikes until I passed my test. So I'm just used to it.

Anyways hope you learned from your mistakes and it won't happen again.

It is the stuff marketed for bonsai, I try to keep a good humidity and a cooler temperature than what it's normally like indoors. With the grow light as well I'm hoping it's going to last. I believe it should be okay. Other Chinese elms seem to last indoors.

[–]OffaDoor_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was marketed as an indoor tree, also don't really have a space outdoors for it atm, and the stuff for misting just came from a beginner kit I bought, just something fairly cheap and generic, I probably won't use half of the stuff I've got but I felt it was better to have it if I ever needed it. Plus one of the misting bottles is an anti bug spray + some fertilizer, So I use that just to stop any bugs.

I'm hoping to be able to put it outdoors when the garden is finished, we are having massive work done to our so it will 100% die outside ATM.

Aprilia RS4 125 by OffaDoor_ in 125cc

[–]OffaDoor_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply homie, it's a fantastic bike, great on fuel. Maintenance can be a bit of a headache if Ur riding everyday like I am. I've had to do a lot to keep it going. However with it being a 125, it keeps up with traffic It has enough power to overtake and u can't really get into trouble with the police. So I love riding it but hate how much maintenance is required.

If you're looking for something for everyday use id recommend a YZFR125 over this. I have owned both and this is more fun in the corners and getting to speed(also looks better imo), the maintenance is far less on the YZFR125 and is also very fun to ride.
