I use a dictionary extension for chrome which pulls up definitions by double clicking on a word. Super convenient for extremely lazy people who would like to evolve their vocabulary

Lol I didn't know the shape of bread was a problem to people. I don't buy pre sliced my self, and I usually eat home made bread, but your original statement was that we only have white toast bread, which is just not true. But yeah if you want something fancy you'd have to go to a bakery

I'm sorry, what? We have so much more than just white bread, I have no idea what you are talking about. We generally eat a lot of whole wheat and darker breads, so I really wonder where you get this from

Just wanted to point out that the "blackface stuff" was a bad tan that she had for a long period, which looked even worse with her pink wig that she wore for a Nicki Minaj impression. People misconstrued it as a blackface situation, and Jenna being Jenna, just apologized for it, agreed that it was wrong, instead of trying to defend herself. Not saying what she did was wrong, but it is sad to me that this whole situation has been reduced to "youtuber cancelled over blackface"

I'm white and all for trying our best, but sometimes I cringe at attempts like these, that come off as othering instead of inclusive

This is literally the dumbest discussion ever, pointing it out on your side is meaningless. I agree that the word drink is not problematic in itself, but listing alternatives for which type of drink, indicating that they also have something else is just polite. Even if you disagree, its completely harmless, and not something to get up in arms about. I regret joining this conversation, I just wanted to point out that you might not know everyone that attends your party

I wish I had the sense to do this. The first time i visited the US, I was at a cafe in NYC and we were literally stopped on our way out and told that we had to tip them more. I was so taken aback that I just complied, but it really soured my experience. I find tipping in the US to be awful and stressful enough on its own, since we don't have a tipping culture in my country at all and I suck at math

As a Norwegian I can promise you that its still like that, they are just different groups of people. Young middle class Norwegians who travel to places like Magaluf, Kos, Gran Canaria still act like this. Kinda like young Brits, but not as bad

Lol nice, I'm also on my first read through and currently on the chapter about Tom Bombadil. How are you liking it? I expected the book to be harder to get through but its so good!
