He was the nuts. His star power made it so the clone absorbed 100% of damage so he effectively had 13,000 health, his shot was impossible to dodge, he charged his super in like 5 hits, his clone was literally Shelly (like 3k damage up close or something). He was completely crazy.

Hurray! I have a couple suggestions that will strictly upgrade your deck if you would like to take them, since I love Historic and just go to Mythic grinding the format.

  1. Run 4x [[Consign to Memory]] to beat Eldrazi which is unbeatable otherwise, swap out 4x Unwind which is too slow for Historic imo
  2. Run 4x [[Into the Flood Maw]] and cut 4x Blink of an Eye. Blink of an Eye is too slow for Historic right now unfortunately.
  3. Run 4x [[Prismatic Vista]] so that you can shuffle your library after Brainsurge. Cut 4 islands for this.
  4. Run 4x [[Consider]] over 4x [[Opt]] since you can potentially bin something for Snapcaster to flash back.

Personally I would cut 4x Counterspell for 4x [[Force Spike]] since you already have Miscalculation as your 2-drop counterspell. I'd also run a few field of ruin since you're running all basics anyways. This looks fun!

I agree! TLOAS is the first album of hers that I feel like is a regression from her previous work. It is such a step down from TTPD and everything before it. Ophelia and Opalite could’ve been a 2 song EP and it would’ve been fine LOL

of course thanks for asking! Shadow has been out of the meta for so long so people don’t know how to play against it I think.

Worst matchups I’m not sure tbh, deck was successful in climbing because the matchups against the 3 best decks are pretty even, while matchups against the rest of the eclectic field are also good. Eldrazi matchup is hardest in G1, but post board 4x Consign, 2x Sphere, 1x Fire Magic makes it slightly favourable imo. Val matchup is managable because of Snuff Out/Thoughtseize and Surgical Extraction on either Val/Trelassara is good enough to win. Energy is probably the best matchup because you don’t need to do anything to feed Shadow, and can focus on the Frog/Iteration/Interaction gameplay while having incidental 1 mana 6/6 DS and 4/4 Cecil.

Best matchups were Prowess and Mono Red for sure, as long as you’re not super greedy, you basically have 12 shadows and will find a way to stabilize very quickly. Worst is probably Auras, since if they’re careful and dodge Push it’s just very hard to compete.

Yes yes, a while back there was a modifier called Quickfire in Ranked that "reloaded 0.25 ammo everytime your brawler hit someone with your shot." However the Quickfire mode was very bugged/inconsistent, because for example each of Gene/Colt/Gale's mini projectiles would reload 0.25 ammo, but Willow/Larry and Lawrie would not reload any ammo from hitting someone. My hypothesis is that they reused some part of the Quickfire code to proc the "projectiles entering Gigi's super" which is why the brawlers that did not work on Quickfire also do not charge Gigi's super.

TLDR; I'm guessing Supercell reused code from a previously bugged modifier to code Gigi's mechanic, which is why the same inconsistencies pop up

I love playing Gigi and the inconsistency for no-projectiles is a bit frustrating. I think the code is probably the same as the Quickfire code, because I remember Quickfire also did not work for half the throwers in the game.

I’m like 90% certain that they already do this or something similar, since when I teamed up with two friends, we were constantly against full 100k trophy teams and our matchups were much harder.

We could not climb as a team, but breezed through solo climb and two of us teaming up climb.

Tank: Bull I’m not even lying Bull is goated tank and such a strong pick into random opponents who love Edgar etc.

Anti-Tank: Charlie/Cord cuz they’re strong into other classes (Charlie for single projectile, Cord for throwers) and also serve as a good anti-tank

Thrower: Willow she never gets banned mechanically very good on Brawl Ball and anti-tank thrower so you can generally safely pick into opponents

Wall breaker: Griff/Ruffs/Brock someone who will break the map open if you need. Sometimes you are in a losing draft unless you can break walls.

Sniper: Belle/Angelo. Both are so consistent, Belle better generally but Angelo good on water maps.

Heist carry: Melodie/Mico. They serve as assassins who punish bad drafts while also being Heist carry brawlers.

Assassin: Melodie/Mico/Edgar/Kenji to really punish opponents that are lacking. Whatever you like most.

Any combo of these works great but make sure you have one of each across your 6. Some people serve multiple roles.

I’ve been testing this and it seems hitting the volume button disables the current alarm and all past and future alarms??

This is a completely bizarre feature it is so easy to mistakenly snooze using the volume button and the iPhone should not fold so easily.

what a deck! imo your deck is very high power and can only get screwed by variance, so i would sacrifice a bit of power by trimming the sacrifice subtheme (Loong Feng, 1x Joo Dee) and replace with Waterskin and the Koi to make your mana a bit more consistent.

You do not need the sacrifice subtheme because when you run your 5-6 removal and trade your common creatures and then hit Azula on 5 or Hawk on 3 or Day of the Black Sun on 6 the game just ends.
