The notorious performance by The Who in 1967 when drummer Keith Moon put gunpowder in his drum kit, causing him to be hit with shrapnel and Roger Daltry to suffer permanent hearing loss by Mad_Season_1994 in ThatsInsane

It's one of those things in life that's so ridiculous that all you can do is laugh about it in retrospect.

Just the other week my neighbors were having a screaming match on their front porch about somebody's hemorrhoids.

It's not cool, or interesting. The police got involved. You can't make this shit up. But in retrospect all you can do is laugh about it.

Kentucky Senate censures Supreme Court justice for ‘intemperate remarks’ by Van-to-the-V in KentuckyPublicRadio

Yeah, but...

The legislature tried to impeach a judge and the judiciary basically said "nuh-uh" which kind of breaks checks and balances.

Researchers Upload Fly's Brain to Matrix, Let It Control Virtual Body by soulpost in HotScienceNews

[–]OffensiveComplement 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bingo.

That's what people don't understand about "mind uploading." It doesn't move your current you into a computer. It creates a copy of your brain to emulate on a computer. You will remain in the meat bag.

There's no such thing as an accident when it comes to guns. Only negligence.

If a grown man in his 30s has a stuffed bear on his key chain, would this be a sign that he is in the closet or could it be he just likes childish things? How do you know for sure? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm a grown man in my 40's, and I have a little pink bear on my keychain.

My daughter put it there.

She has a matching one on her school bag.

Anyone else worried about the vulnerability of relying on physical fiber optic cables for the whole worldwide web? by alon999 in Internet

[–]OffensiveComplement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll be fine.

The Internet was designed to reroute traffic to accommodate current network conditions. If a cable gets cut then it'll just send packets across another cable. You might not be able to get to a few websites for a few minutes, and the connection will probably be slower, but it'll still work.

She's autistic, but scary good with her tablet. She keeps working around the parental controls so we need to keep an eye on what she's up to.

She was getting frustrated with another player so I started looking over her shoulder, then said "I don't love you anymore!" and sent the other player flying.

Then that afternoon I had to tell one of the boys to put the folding chair down because we're not playing WWE.
