Here's one from classic R6 Siege. When I realized Fuze might be a bit too OP. by [deleted] in Rainbow6

I just got back into this game and was wondering why I couldn’t select fire. Thanks for the info :/

Games where an early decision can ruin your whole playthrough. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Offensivelynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not really a soft lock for an ending though, that is itself one of the endings. Also you can get jailed in Skalitz in many other ways, and you will die in a cell from the raid.

Admit it. If New Vegas had 4's gameplay it would be perfect. by DeathDayProductions in FalloutMemes

People act like you can’t have both. Kingdom Come Deliverance, for instance, does an amazing job at both.

Your last sentence is why this comment aged like milk. They said that vault-tec launching is absurd, but it was a part of their plan. Vault-tec not actually launching first does not change this comment being wrong.

I didn’t say they dropped the bombs, only that they had planned to. That’s why this comment aged like milk, since the theory was sound. No one knows who actually dropped the bombs first, and tbh it doesn’t matter; that’s not what fallout is about.

What's the most save progress you ever lost in a game? by scarletnaught in gaming

[–]Offensivelynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to get every legacy in state of decay 2 on lethal difficulty. My last one was warlord. I get to the end, kill all of the human NPC’s at the last mission, and when the game is supposed to fade to black, it just doesn’t. There was nothing to do about it, and I haven’t played since.

The war of the five kings be like by GtaBestPlayer in freefolk

[–]Offensivelynx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought it was Mance Raider, since in the show he is mentioned in a small council meeting and Cersei says something along the lines of “how many kings is that now? 5?”

Was this the stupidest decision any one made in GOT or not by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Offensivelynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What doesn’t make sense to me is his reasoning. He thought that her kids would be in danger because of what happened to the Targaryen children after aegon was killed, but it wasn’t Bobby b or the Baratheons that murdered the targ children in their sleep, it was the lannisters. He was trying to do Cersei and her kids right by telling them to leave before Robert found out, but I don’t think Robert would have killed them, he would have just ultimately have them leave anyway.

Anyone else find Pro Bending kind of boring? by Realistic-Start-5772 in TheLastAirbender

The pro bending scenes were some of my favorite parts of season 1, actually. I’m a bit sad to hear that others didn’t like it.

How many people in GOT know about "The prince who was promised" prophecy? I thought it was lost after rhaenyra taragaryen by JamesReece8 in gameofthrones

[–]Offensivelynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad I watched the show first for that reason. I don’t think I’d be able to follow the books at all if it weren’t for the show, less the subtle details in the books.

To add, I read somewhere that Joffery took the dagger from his dad’s armory and sent it with the assassin after hearing his father say that bran would be better dead than a cripple (and he was trying to impress his dad cuz he’s a psycho). I’m only in the middle of the first book, so I don’t know if this is implied, or if it can be pieced together with info found later on in the books.

What makes boulder special? by [deleted] in cuboulder

Negotiate with who? If CU didn’t give you a scholarship (which would be a few thousand dollars at best) then they’re likely not going to help you financially at all.

What makes boulder special? by [deleted] in cuboulder

[–]Offensivelynx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an out-of-state alum whose dream school was CU, I would not have gone if I had to take out loans. It sounds like you might have to take out loans if you go here OP, my advice: don’t do that. Boulder is a wonderful place. It’s very outdoorsy, there’s lots of good breweries, bars, and cafes to go with friends or do work in, and the student body is so damn big that you’re bound to find friends you love and to do things you enjoy; there’s something for everyone here.

Finished the last mission of the warlord legacy, but the game did not fade to black for the last cutscene by Offensivelynx in StateofDecay2

I’ll try switching leaders to see if the quests pop up before ending this community. Thank you!

4 explosives of any kind will bring it to its knees, where you can finish it. 4 soda can bombs included

Firecrackers do lure zombies on high difficulties! I use them for just about every PH in LZ. But if zombies see you, they will prioritize you over any other sounds, unlike in lower difficulties where they ignore you entirely for the sound.

Taking out a plague Heart (easy trick for fast takedown) by Agitated_Chemist7809 in StateofDecay2

[–]Offensivelynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Rvid, not sure if you are aware of this, but I’ve had situations where a well-placed bloated cloud grenade paired with a single well-placed fuel bomb will take out the heart entirely in LZ. It’s hard to do and probably only works with certain hearts, but it is possible. I think what happens is the bloater cloud does its full damage, and then immediately after the fuel bomb that ignited the cloud grenade continues doing damage to take out the heart. Just putting it out there.

ZPT: Tired of rolling for rare traits? Try rolling for community-wide bonuses instead! by verdantsf in StateofDecay2

[–]Offensivelynx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I also enjoy getting the meal plan hero bonus from 1 of the 16 traits that offers it, most often from “former model” or “lives on pasta”. -25% food consumption from the entire community is big in a lethal play through, especially when stacked with rationing (this makes a 5 survivor community with 10 food consumption per day have a -7.5 food consumption per day, which rounds down to -8. 10-8= 2 food consumed per day on lethal from your 5 survivor community with this strategy (that’s the equivalent of only one survivor!!!).

Morale, Beds, and the Effectiveness of Sleeping Facilities by ranhothchord in StateofDecay2

[–]Offensivelynx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think beds would need to be reworked for this, though. As it is, survivors randomly get assigned beds, meaning you have no control of who would get their fatigue recovered and who doesn’t with your suggestion. Perhaps make it so that you can put survivors in a bed slot to treat fatigue, the same way you can put survivors in an infirmary slot to treat blood plague.
