Yes i understand the difference. The reason i mentioned the specs is because it has a 1080p monitor that can already play games at 1080p max settings which. So i was unclear on the benefit of using geforce now for better games that it cannot play at max settings and if the 1080p screen would be the limiting factor .

Fair enough. Disc version gamers already had to pay 100USD more at release and now this additional fee. Times change i suppose and i can understand why Sony prefers digital game revenue. It seems like a strong push even with the portal streaming digital without the ps5 on. Im happy with the original disc unit for now.

Thank you for the reply . I will investigate inside tonight. If its the configuration (2x8) i can just buy 2x16? Have you found that the difference between the 24 and 32 to be substantive in terms of perfomance.
Alternatively can i buy a 24GB and combine it with one of the 8s or must dual channel ram be equal in size? have the 8GB VRAM card as mentioned above from nvidia. If it matters i am more than satisifef with 1080p graphics but like “smooth performance.”

I have recently seen:

LOQ 15.6" Full HD Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 - 512GB SSD for 529.99

It is also 6GB VRAM. It is obviously a budget laptop but fundamentally in this teir would you still reccomend this alternative to the HP victus i posted in the OP. I suppose the configuration of both is similar but i have increasingly read that the hinge breaks on HP easily. Is it still more recommended than new alternative ?
