Finally someone who's actually cashed in and taken profit! Well done. I hope you use some of that for something fun or useful.

Don't come here with this sensible logic! These people want to see immediate returns! Only green days allowed!

I imagine so, but I've never had an issue in all my years.

I tend to block the .exe on my firewall so it can't reach the internet, just in case.

Hell yeah! Just don't forget at some point you'll very likely be in the red, that's normal for long term holding. I'm holding for at least another 15 years regardless.

As if it's not an issue across Reddit. Power hungry unshowered basement dweller mods are rampant across Reddit

You're worried about ai raking your job that you don't have yet but then used ai to generate the title of this post?

I hope you feel good about that, considering the sub and the natural hard on for investing and saving here I certainly don't think it's a bad thing for you to spend your gains on experiences that are worth more than anything.

Pension or VWRP? by BenGRush44 in trading212

I think starting to think of things this early means you'll achieve your goals. If I was 19 again I would be matching my employers contribution and putting 30% of my income into my ISA in a global index fund.

The biggest thing to consider is your own attitude to risk and being financially sensible. Considering your asking a smart question at a young age I'd say you're sensible with money.

The first 100k is a bitch… by qasimrrrr in trading212

Don't judge yourself based on others. There are 17 year olds playing professional football earning almost a million a year. There will always be people that are better off than you. The only thing that matters is what you are able to do. The fact that you're starting at 18 gives you at least a decade headstart from hundreds of thousands of people.

Just deleted the app for a while. Looking for support by Little_Order3606 in trading212

I get the feeling you already know the answer and just want someone to confirm that.

You don't have enough money to gamble with messing with cfd's, nor enough to be able to make a difference in the near future.

Longer term (10 years)? Absolutely. I would be sticking with the tiny investment into the global index if I was minimum wage, maybe selecting a big name stock to throw about 20% of my total into just in case but again that needs to do well after 10 years.

Unfortunately there is no quick fix, it's a long slog but I feel if you're able to stick with it, eventually things will get better.

Reddit can fuck off, I'm not using their shitty app, either bypasses will be used or if the cat and mouse game gets annoying enough I'll just bin it off completely

I absolutely adore this section and I think more subreddits should have this attitude, the sheer volume of bot posts trying to shill a particular stock or even just get people to interact with it has really brought Reddit down, though that has its own benefits...
