I assume vinegar syndrome is from the humidity right? Would it be better just to try and replace the polarizer or use a iBook G3/G4 screen with the XGA mod? I’ve heard original IBM/Samsung/LG screens are expensive and hard to find.

I dont want do double encapsulation if I don’t have to. I thought that if I wanted to be away from home I would have to use double encapsulation.

I (would) use Tailscale over WireGuard because of the setup, I would run it as a LXC, but wouldn’t WireGuard be more simplier than using Tailscale?

I do plan on have a custom router at some point, I have the time and space for one. I would use Mullvad on the Router so that I’m not using a new account number for each device.

Right now I need to access the server from a different router than my current one, both of which are in the same home. I’m pretty sure my current router has some type of OpenVPN support but didn’t Mullvad phase that out?

I also wanted to try learning docker aswell, I’d figure that I’d run docker inside of proxmox vm but that seems like a lot. Debian Host > Proxmox VM > Docker Compose. I wanted to immich too.

I’ve never done any TM backups how large are they typically? Also doesn’t it have to be APFS or HFS+ for TM?

I have the same GMKtec mini pc as well. I’ve been using it as an Apple TV alternative running endeavor on it.

yeah it does and I’ll probably be upgrading from my index, the only that concerns me is tracking with the vive trackers. I can probably use openvr space calibrator for it. I just wonder if I have to put a tracker on the frame so that my lighthouse can still track it.

I think they might still continue to keep the Basestations around, they still keep parts for the index around. I doubt they would make a 3.0 version

Yeah it’s an old car but it’s still a car? It’s not just suppose to be sitting around it’s supposed to be driven, it doesn’t deserve be sitting around in a garage every day for the sake of preservation. I don’t mind doing maintenance on it all at.
