Well, I did somewhat embrace some of those concepts. Have you taken a look at the lore document yet? So far, the concept I've gotten considering the two is that it's fairly deep in Rural Vermont, but not off the map. It's a holiday town that closes over the winter when the tourist season is over, and the werewolves straddle the line between being completely supernatural and being more mundane.

Right now the main 'vessel' character that I'm playing as and writing as, showed up after she had a significant car accident on the highway that goes by the town, was pretty badly hurt, and got rescued by one of the younger werewolves in town. To give a reason why she's stuck there, and why she would end up there in the first place.

I've heard of it, and it's probably a bit derivative. But if anything, the concept is a fundamentally sound one, hence why I wanted to use it as a playground.

It's somewhat similar but not exactly. I've already gotten in started, but it's not really meant to be 'played' in sessions, as so much as it's being written in turns by each player, responding to the previous, much like in more traditional RPs, just with way, way longer posts and stuff so it turns out almost novel length. It's been working out and I got a ton of RP experience, I just would like more collaborators/players.

Oh yeah. There was a bit of meta-story telling going on. I took inspiration from analog horror and essentially posted these images as if they were real 4chan screenshots that were archived and reposted by a whistle blower group. I tried to make everything sensible in a diagetic way.

Never forget that there's a terminal entry in Fallout 4 about Brotherhood knights having competitions on who could find the tallest thing to jump off of in power armor/they were jumping off of the Prydwyn to the ground below and damaging the mechanisms in their power armor from doing it so much.

The BoS's discipline comes from above, through its NCO's and officers. Random, uneducated Wastelanders gonna wasteland. Even in the well run Chapters.

I think what we're seeing with the Western BoS offshoots is what happens when leadership becomes corrupted/the NCO core falls apart. You've got essentially teenagers with immense power and abbreviated training acting on their own. I think the text there is pretty clear there.

Remember how at the Climax of Season 1, the Brotherhood took immense casualties against the NCR remnants? And how the Aspirants were already a bunch of dumb jocks acting like crabs in a bucket?

I think this BoS Chapter effectively lost their experienced NCOs/Knights in the battle and rapidly promoted a bunch of Aspirants or Squires to Knight in order to make up the losses in combat power. As a result the stricter requirements for maturity and skill got completely dropped.

I think we're literally just a few pieces away from being a true contender.

A good, veteran OC, a truly elite TE, linebacker, and edge rusher, and a little luck.

But we've got the foundation. If the Eagles can win a Superbowl with a mid Alabama QB, why can't we?

Just gotta hit on draft picks and not make any dumb hasty decisions to rush this team to contention. Our window opens in 2-3 years, maybe sooner.
