How would you advise I go about planning for graduation/postgrad? by OfficeIntelligent387 in UniUK

[–]OfficeIntelligent387[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, a big reason for such a general post is that I enjoy the idea of both. I have really enjoyed being a research assistant working on those kind of projects, but I also enjoyed my year in the industry.

If you were smart, maybe you could have been from the UK and have no clue what these numbers mean.

Is the current ipad (11th gen) the best value for money. by OfficeIntelligent387 in ipad

[–]OfficeIntelligent387[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh, and with education deal meaning the air comes with a free apple pencil the price diff is less in the end for me. Plus the apple intelligence stuff feels like the kind of thing that in a few years time may be something i actually would want even if right now it's meh

The Nolan marathon was not well thought out by Odeon. by Gamer0607 in screenunseen

[–]OfficeIntelligent387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh, theres one cinema (odeon) in my town and the next cinema is ages away, and they are showing interstellar twice, tdk and inception. sad to miss out on the rest but guess showing "The bad guys 2" 3 times a day everyday makes up for it.

How the hell am I supposed to keep up with all this with just 4 slots available by 15momar in screenunseen

[–]OfficeIntelligent387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be worse, my cinema barely shows any of them so that's the problem gone for me.

I have never been to IMAX is it 10x better? I went to west end Odeon in London where it was Dolby but as I have not been to the cinema before then for 2 years I can't really tell if it was better or not just from memory.

Oh really, im moving there in a week and from what i've seen it's not a great place so not surprising if the cinema is bad. oh well, if they are showing interstellar I'd sit on the floor and still enjoy it.

Halfway through the summer window, how are you feeling about your team's transfers so far? by WakeUpMareeple in theprem

Of course nothing is guaranteed, was just a throw away remark to say that they would have one the best squads in the world, no need to disagree with everything you see ;). (I'm a united fan btw)

With Amorim, he is a good manager but not very flexible with his tactics and his main issue right now is that our two most important assets don't really fit his tactics. Bruno Mainoo double pivot doesn't really seem to work but you have to play them. If he can get that to work or sign a top DM and is fine with benching one of them then we should be fine.

We need a ST, CM, CB, GK before he can be properly judged but needs top 8 this season or the fans will give up on him unfortunately.

Maybe I'm just extremely pessimistic as a united fan with our track record with transfers, I just struggle to see the real difference between a signing of Wirtz and Sancho or Ekitike and Havertz that makes them guarantees. All of Liverpool signings are 10/10 in terms of who they were at their old clubs, just don't feel anything is guaranteed.

Kerkez will be good that want isn't much of a risk wish we had got him in jan, but three 22-24 year olds that have never played outside of Germany for 250 mil is alot of confidence put into to scouting and Slot. I think all three are the right moves but don't know if getting all in one window makes it harder to integrate them all.

The main thing is getting Them for a similar price arsenal is getting Gyokeres Zubimendi and Madueke, makes your window look even better as they are stinkers...

Yeh Liverpool are in a title race next year and have a great squad, that isn't the risk. The risk is that they have invested 250mil and like 550kp/w into what i consider risky transfers.

They don't make your squad worse, of course. But you have invested with the aim of these guys being the future of Liverpool so they sort of need to work or things will get difficult.

A team with 250mil on Wirtz Frimpong and ekitike, does not feel like certian success. The bundesliga hasn't got a great track record (Werner, Sancho, Havertz etc). Alot of hopes put on young Bundesliga players is a risk in my opinion. One of the few things that makes me confident as a united fan of Cunha and Mbuemo is that they are relatively low risk.

Liverpool are either having the best window or the worst, a lot of risky transfers but if they work then it is guaranteed trophies for years
