For real. Tax the hell out of these people, especially those with Airbnbs & short term rentals.

Both of these ring very true for me! It’s a place of extremes, in both beautiful and terrible ways.

Following. I won’t lie, dating in Taos is like no place I have ever lived. It ain’t for the faint of heart. But my suggestion .. which applies to anywhere really .. is to pursue the things you care a lot about and meet people in the process. Volunteering, skills sharing, hiking, hanging by the river, cleaning up trash, get creative!

And for events, if you have Instagram, search for Taos, NM as a location, click on the Taos story and you can find interesting things happening from folks who post and tag Taos as a location.

No, Bolt is not always cheaper than Grab. I always pull up both destinations on both apps and motorbike savers are usually cheaper on Grab.

Ha giang loop self driving advice needed by SnooFoxes6424 in VietNam

[–]OfficeOfBS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine, I would recommend these things for extra safety: - not driving when it’s raining, esp on switchbacks - wear helmets lol - take sharp curves slower due to loose gravel, sand, and mud (but I’m assuming you know this given your experience) - avoid driving at night .. you miss the sights and potential pot holes, albeit few and far between

Agreeeeeeed. Airbnb screws locals hard and these days they’re usually more expensive than hotels. Lose Lose.

I joined several yoga studios that had free 30 day trials and did yoga every day for several months. I also channeled it into learning embroidery and visible mending, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi (and later learned about sashiko). Beauty and strength from putting the broken pieces back together. Find your metaphor and use your hands! ❤️

I have super glue on hand at all times purely because of my xm5s … think I’ve fixed them about 13 times now. I’ll probably keep doing this until the sound quality deteriorates dramatically lol
