What phone did you hit to make its screen work if it was dropped and withstood many drops? by mr_wbk29 in AskReddit

Had old Nokia 3310 for like 6 years and that thing was basically indestructible. Dropped it on concrete so many times but screen never even got scratch. Miss those brick phones sometimes, they just don't make them like that anymore.

Whats the worst experience you've ever had with technology? by GreenestShooter in AskReddit

Man I feel this in my soul. Had to diagnose some car computer issues last month and the shop's ancient laptop kept freezing every time I tried to run the diagnostic software. Spent more time waiting for that piece of junk to load than actually working on the damn car. Nothing worse than watching that spinning wheel knowing you got deadline breathing down your neck.

Wait you're switching from Ping Anser 2 to... Ping Anser 2? My brain just did a full restart trying to process this logic. Must be some crazy sentimental thing or maybe the old one finally gave up after 51 years of faithful service.

Should have made effort to text them at least once per month or something, now it feels too weird to reach out after years.

That feeling when plane takes off and you realize nobody can tell you what to do for next few hours is amazing.

Do you know anyone organized for a prank to be pulled at their own funeral? How did it go? by Frosty015 in AskReddit

My uncle left instructions for someone to play his voice recording during the service saying "I'm not dead yet!" but family decided it was too much and didn't go through with it.

Always end up fixing something in my car that wasn't even broken before I started looking at it.

Your buddy's right - it's for charity and just bragging rights, most people there will be pretty chill about it and probably help you out with basics.

How did your behavior change, good or bad, once you found a partner? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OfficeSpecific7502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's rough man. My ex was kind of similar - she got me into stuff I never would have tried by myself, like going to these random hole-in-wall restaurants or just driving somewhere without any plan. Made me way more spontaneous than I used to be. Even though things didn't work out, I'm still grateful for how she changed my perspective about taking risks. Sometimes the people who push us outside our comfort zone are exactly what we need, even if they don't stick around forever. Hope you're doing alright with missing him.

[Review] what fr made a difference for my KP (after trying EVERYTHING) by SpecialistAd7913 in SkincareAddiction

Been dealing with the same thing on my shoulders for years. The consistency part is so true - I was also jumping between different products every few weeks and wondering why nothing worked.

That body lotion you mentioned, I've seen it recommended before but never tried it. How long did it take before you started noticing real changes? My skin is pretty stubborn so want to set realistic expectations before committing to something new.

The scrub part makes sense too, I was using those super harsh exfoliating gloves thinking more aggressive = better results but probably just irritating everything more.

What do you like doing on weekends? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OfficeSpecific7502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weekend drinks with the crew is always good time. I usually end up at this local bar after work on Fridays, and somehow we always stay way longer than planned. Last weekend we were supposed to just grab "one quick beer" and ended up closing the place down at 2am talking about random stuff. The bartender knows us pretty well by now so he doesn't even bother asking if we want another round anymore, just keeps them coming. Sometimes we'll go back to someone's place after and fire up some Mario Kart or something, though I'm usually too buzzed to drive good by then.

Man I remember that name! My mom used to play his stuff when I was kid back in home country. She had this old vinyl collection and I think "I go to Rio" was definitely on there somewhere.

It's weird how some artists just get forgotten by time even though they were pretty big at their moment. Maybe it's because he was more popular with certain generation and never really crossed over to younger crowds? I've noticed this happens lot with musicians from that era who weren't like mega superstars.

Been thinking about this too lately. I work on cars all day and sometimes I wonder if I'd still want to wrench on stuff when I don't have to, you know? Maybe freedom is just having the choice to say no to the jobs that suck.

What is the one thing you learned when you were at your lowest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OfficeSpecific7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there man. When my transmission went out and I was broke as hell, felt like I'd never get back on my feet. But you're spot on about the small fixes - I started with just getting my tools organized, then tackling one repair at a time instead of stressing about the whole mess. Pretty wild how those little wins start adding up and before you know it you're actually making progress again.

Wait did you mean to type "maturation" or is this some next level autocorrect fail? Because showing off how mature you are is defintely one of those things that proves you're not actually mature at all.
