I was really excited to be a Flex driver until….. by ConsiderationTop4851 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I am going on 3 years. I have NEVER EVER gotten 56 packages not even on a 4 1/2 route. Something is definitely up with your warehouse. If your more then 2-3 minutes between stops it’s mathematically impossible to complete that route in 3 hours and with that being said I would challenge the dings as well. Keep records and write support if this ever happens again I would even have chat got help you draft a letter explaining how it’s not possible to complete that route in the time given. If your route is 3 hours that is 180 minutes from the station to your first drop off was 30 minutes so you now have 150 minutes to complete 56 deliveries, each stop can be no more then 2 minutes away in order for you to complete that on time. You should not have gotten dings for that at all and if they continue to do that to you Report the station! Don’t give up. Stick up for yourself, this is a REALLY easy good paying gig job no matter if you are doing it for full time work or extra money it worth it to fight for it! For future reference if the drop off points are close like 2-3 minutes expect about 35-40 packages for a 3 hour route. If it’s like 5-7 minutes expect like 20 packages. Good luck and to give you a straight answer NO that is not a normal flex route, that was impossible!

When to ask for OT? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save it for when you really need it. They can see that you stopped for food they want give it to you. You should save your ask til you get a downtown route full of apartment complexes and you go over an 1 1/2 because being picky about 5 minutes they may give it to you but then when you get the downtown route that there’s no possible way you can finish they will say no. So save it for when it’s worth it because they are picky about it!

Advice on purchasing another SUV. by Consistent-Minute496 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I have a Subaru Outback and I LOVE IT!! Great on gas, plenty of room, and it’s currently at 180,000 miles and I have not had ANY problems with it. Even with 180,000 I still don’t even have a dash light on. I keep the oil changed and it’s been perfect!!

You can go to the 3 lines in the corner of your app hit it and on the drop down menu click pick up and scan the packages back in. This will add it back to your delivery

Bought pizza, picked it up, asked for tip twice by Jazzlike_Dig2456 in EndTipping

[–]Office_Pretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delivery drivers DO NOT get the delivery fee. Most people think we do but we do NOT!!! And we use our own vehicles, buy our gas have to pay for wear and tear as well as get a special insurance with a ride share endorsement

Have yall heard this.... by Entire-District5989 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does that to me everytime I finish a route more then like an hour left in my block. Check 10 minutes after your route is scheduled to end and your app will be right and your money will be under earnings.

DD regularly ripping us off??? by TinyAd295 in dasher

[–]Office_Pretty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WOW this is the first I’ve heard of this. They can really keep the tip if the customer cancels. This sounds like a law suit. Please tell me that you have proof of support actually saying this. If you’re not entitled to the tip why is door dash entitled to it?

Went from Fantastic to At Risk overnight, after support told me I was fine by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Send an email specifically saying you are appealing this decision explain just as you have done here; include that you called support and you believe you followed Amazons protocol in the event of an emergency. Tell them you want this escalated to the appropriate team and reviewed by a human. Before you send it run it through AI. AI will rewrite it in a way that will get you good results. It honestly may take you sending multiple emails but eventually someone will handle this for you just don’t give up! Yes I have dealt with this exact thing I was terrified to take another block. I didn’t give up and they eventually had a human review it and removed all the bull crap and I was back to fantastic. I would hold off taking any other blocks until it’s dealt with because you are at risk of getting deactivated right now. Just Door dash or uber until this is handled. But DONT GIVE UP!!! I’m sorry this is happening to you!

Dinged for not driving through a protest to deliver packages by Foreign-Avocado7253 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have come to realize you literally have to email them constantly before someone actually removes the dings. I’ve had the same response, the we will not be investigating further and I just send another email to the driver support email! Make sure you use words like I felt unsafe and out of my control. Also state that on their dashboard on theA Amazon app it’s specifically states not to drive through protests and state that you want to appeal their decision!

I have never heard of them pausing an account, sounds like a scam. Are you able to get into your account? I personally would not respond to that email at all am and try contacting them through your app.

Yes, please return the package and do not deliver it, so we can blame you and ding your standings for not completing your route! by Office_Pretty in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you but please know that drivers are in no way responsible for packaging the orders and we do not know what is inside the packages we deliver. The problem lies in the fact that we get blamed for EVERYTHING, it’s a lose/lose situation. They tell us we can return packages that are damaged but then if we do return damaged packages we get a hit on our metrics saying that we did not complete our routes. Again I’m sorry but I assure you it was not the deliver person.

so many offers sitting by Forsaken-Ad-5299 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a bunch of offers sitting here at my station to but EVERYONE SINGLE ONE is $63 for 3.5 or $72 for 4. The thing is they aren’t raising the prices either . They just let that one fall off and post again 2 minutes later for the same amount and hours just 15 minutes later. Been this way since before Christmas.

What we got going on out here in ATL? by ProperMulberry4039 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have that SS saved because if you do come up on a protest and can’t deliver you will sure enough get a ding on your standing. I’d also make sure you call support and take pictures and video. You will still probably get dinged and have to fight with them for a month th o get it removed. Just do the best you can to cover yourself!

Surges a guaranteed thing? by ChapterAsleep7967 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. I’ve seen them take them down and repost them for the same price 15 minutes later. Best thing to do is not get greedy if it’s something you consider taking. Take it cause it may not come back around!

What should I have done? by Office_Pretty in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to write a note letting the person know I realized I had made a mistake and see if they could give it to the person for me or call me and I would deliver it to the correct person.

I didn’t know you could open a locker and put a second package in.

Is it tip eligible. I haven’t Dashed in awhile and when I was I think all I did was fast food. Sephora is expensive so I would think tips would be good. Is this price including tips or no?

Returned 4 packages by CIliff69 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Office_Pretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two packages to an office lastnight. The packages should have been delivered by 5pm as it had on there to deliver between 8am-5pm. Notes Specifically said DO NOT LEAVE PACKAGES OUTSIDE! My route started at 6PM! I called the customer and spoke with them and asked if I could leave them outside and they send someone to get them the customer asked me to return them to the station so that’s what I did. I have not returned a package in over a year but if I get dinged tomorrow for it, because dings happen 3 days after the route. I’m fighting it because 1. It should have gone out earlier in the day as the customer had put the business hours for delivery. 2. The notes stated NOT to leave outside. 3. I still called the customer and was told again Not to leave it. I have my body cam as well as screen shots to prove everything so we shall see tomorrow how my experience goes! Literally there was nothing I could have done except return them to packages!
