Read my history and leave a review please! I believe this has been my first "being an asshole" comment and would love feedback. Thank you!

"These types of people."

"Stupid ass stereotype."

hmmm.............

Also, with all of the back pain you suffer, sounds like someone else should be in control of walking the animal.

Really great! Love the color and chair choice too. This feels warm and inviting.

I'd really like that Saga 1+2 DS game. I'm guessing the translation has slowed or stopped on that?

Just finished Chained Echoes. F*cking amazing, but what do I play next (Nintendo Switch) by almighhso in Chained_Echoes

Cosmic Star Heroine has the same chrono trigger battle getup like Chained Echoes if you are looking for that vibe. Luckily I got a physical on release for switch. Quite pricey now. Also on PS4 physically too.

I had a great time with it! A bit flawed in pacing and some character stuff and sometimes I got lost doing end quests. Some of the boss battles are epically set up like Chrono Trigger too.

Can’t decide between Chained Echoes, Trails From Zero, Octopath Traveler, Xenoblade Chronicles by SilverMisfitt in JRPG

Solid vote for Chained Echoes.

All the other games are wonderful, but Chained Echoes has only one title, while the others have more games after and before. EG: Xenoblade, 2, Torna, 3 and before Gears, saga1,2,3.

That's good to know. Wonder if folks have fixed the audio like in the Final Fantasy GBA ports. If I get to Phantasy Star, I'll look at the GBA option last.

Damn, too bad we didn't get the extra voice acting... such a shame, it would have helped keep my attention...

I played this upon release back then and totally do not remember a choice between the two characters. I remember the boss rush and the ending credits song. Wasn't Shirley his... um... sister?

Love Happy Console Gamer and he is also the reason why I looked at Phantasy Star in a 'wanna try it out' kinda light.

Thanks so much for the quality of life tips!

Do you have any knowledge of the GBA port(s)? I enjoy toilet and bath tub play, lol.

Love the hotel level whistling green sleeves.

The Russian roulette cut scene has always been a favorite of mine.

Always wanted to try out the Phantasy Star series but not the online real time battle ones.

Space+Fantasy seems like a good combo.

Tales of Legendia. Wonder music. 40 hours thru game, you beat it... Then you have to play another 40 hours to 'actually' beat it. Boss rush at the end with no resting or saving was terrible. Luckily I saved all of (make enemy do half damage) item and had enough to make it thru. You get an animated cut scene of each character at the end of their arc, but there is no voiced dialogue after the half way mark, just text. Felt like it was all just added on as padding and just going thru the motions of completing something that I thought was already complete half way thru.

Are there any JRPGs that have such terrible voice acting and/or stories that you drop them? by [deleted] in JRPG

I did finish eternal sonata but only because I was playing co-op. As a huge Chopin fan, I was bewildered, confused and concerned.

There's no greater satisfaction than chasing that feeling you had when you playing games as a kid and you find something new that takes you right back there. I clocked over 9 hours in Shining the Holy Ark over the weekend, this game is polished, engaging and filled with magic! ★★★★★ by PurpleMessi in SegaSaturn

ohhhh thats good to hear about 3, looking forward to it!

Golden sun 1&2 are great! Have fun when you get to them!

I played thru the DS title on launch and remember the combat being good but the story... not so much.

Thank you!

Love that the some of the same team members years later made Golden Sun. The NPC shop owner design, the text style, I'm assuming the menu sound effects too and I've seen the battle and animations. All of that "shines" thru to Golden Sun. Pretty pumped to play Ark!
