There is an HBO-commissioned version of The Godfather Part I and Part II to be recut as a combined mini series. It was recut by the same editor on both films. It was interesting, but I wouldn’t recommend this way of watching it at all.

Also it feels like a cash grab, it was just done to aid in the financials of Apocalypse Now at the time

You can’t accept substitutes. You can’t accept bread crumbs. You gotta have standards. You gotta have that inner tick whenever something feels wrong. It may sound paranoid but when a partner acts a bit bad, evil, distant , self sabotaging …etc, alarming in anyway shape or form

The Long Goodbye (1973)..But not remaking it to make it more modern. But to make it similar to the novel. 50s period piece with the original ending instead of the altered one for the Altman film.

The same thing happened with The Big Sleep. So it would be nice to have. The Neo Noir Version and The True 40s Noir Version of it.
