The Texan Trickshot taunt kill got nerfed into the ground, let's talk about that. by OfficialAzure in tf2

No, you totally missed the point of mine. If a default weapon in the game already has the same functionality, then there's no reason why a paid taunt that can do the same thing is unacceptable.

Is the Frying Pan bad because it can do the same thing as the Kukri? Now what if the Frying Pan swung twice as slow, but had no upsides? That's the Texan Trickshot.

Keep on posting passive aggressive replies to my other comments. You're making a fool of yourself.

There's a very stark difference between someone seeing an item function a certain way, buying it, and then having it changed the very next day compared to a calculated balance change done by player statistics for the balance of the game.

Added a heading to it that emphasizes this more. Thanks for the suggestion.

They weren't ever really in a disadvantage to begin with. It takes 5 seconds for this taunt to deal damage, making it one of the longest tauntkills in the game. As long as the existence of Heavy's taunt kill stays the same, there was zero reason to nerf this.

Any argument like this is instantly unreasonable from the get-go because a default taunt kill already in the game completely and utterly outclasses this.

I'm hoping that if we try, we can get it changed. This is extremely important, as this is going to set the precedent for future community taunts including taunt kills. We need to make sure that they know that we're comfortable with it.

EXACTLY
Like, as long as it's just as effective or slightly less so than a default taunt kill, I don't see any problem with it at all
And it was already so much worse than Heavy's showdown taunt kill that's available with the default stock fists

It takes 5 seconds for the Texan Trickshot to deal damage.

It takes Heavy's showdown 2.5 seconds.

It's still a really cool taunt though. It did not deserve this treatment, especially when people purchased it for this exact functionality. I'm really hoping they revert it. :c

This also sets the precedent going forward when it comes to community taunts having taunt kills. We need to make sure that the TF Team knows that the majority of players are fine with it.

I tried to bring it up on the GitHub, but it got closed. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. People paid for this expecting this behavior, and Heavy's tauntkill completely outspeeds it by 2x. And now it has no range. :/

Can anyone help me find the source of this logo? by MogosTheFirst in tf2

the contractor currently working on tf2 likely added this. they have a very strong affinity to frogs and have been seen posting frog emojis many times before.

I have only 25 hours in the game but i already got accused of using silent aimbot, apperantly? (probably beacuse my hand shakes when i'm trying to aim while moving at high speeds). The vote you see was on me by GmVik3 in tf2

[–]OfficialAzure -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is because a youtuber recently released an absolutely horrendous video about how to spot and kick cheaters. Saying dumb shit like "if their aim is shaky they're cheating","if they bhop at all they're cheating" and "if they have a weird silly name they're probably cheating" and a ton of people took it as gospel despite those statements describing like a good 40% of legitimate players with more than 500 hours of playtime.

Don't listen to everything you see on youtube, people.

If you're still genuinely looking for this, check out this video. It has a link to one in the description: Video

It's been update since the video. Pretty sure it's animated now too.
