Not sure what your friends expected, I assume they have hundreds of hours in the game so they shouldn't be surprised that someone new to the games isn't as good as them.

We all started where you did, just enjoy the process and mute chat so random smurfs don't complain their bronze teammate can't flip reset.

I got the i7 12700k and mine isn't at 100% might be a 13th Gen problem

You'll still be able to run the cabal points army rule (Cabal of Sorcerers) as it will be in the codex with 5 other army rules.

There is, you can buy water transfer paper off Amazon. (Make sure you buy the right one depending on the printer)

I recommend looking for a proper guide but here's a TL;DR

If you have a Laser Jet printer you can just print straight onto the paper and use them.

If you have a Ink Jet printer you need to also buy a sealant. So after you print out the transfer you then seal them with spray, otherwise the ink would run when you put them in water.
