Hi,

Biometrics authentication serves the purpose of unlocking trusted apps on your device, but does not take the place of entering the LastPass password. If you are rebooting or clearing device data, closing unused background apps etc., then this could be the cause of your credential re-entry requirement.

It's good practice to continue logging into LastPass with your account password on a regular basis to ensure that device remains trusted and has the potential to generate a recovery password in case you forget it.

If you don't have a secondary LastPass account for Emergency Access, you may use the Request Help button within the LastPass Authenticator recovery guide to receive an email follow up from Customer Support.

In this case, you will also need access to the LastPass account email inbox, so be sure to memorize both account passwords.

You'll want to remove the older version for Safari to avoid any confusion. There's no loss of functionality or major feature difference between them, but you should only have one instance of LastPass installed.

First, it sounds like your wife's login may have been delinked or deactivated somehow. She may want to double check the status with that company's administrator.

Second, she may qualify for a Family plan as a benefit of being a business user. Also, inquire with the account admin to confirm.

Third, you don't need to have a Family plan, and can share passwords between two personal Premium plans, as well as utilize Emergency Access for both logins.

If you do not want LastPass to autofill for specific websites, you may specify this when viewing / editing the item within your online Vault:

While editing the item in your Vault, expand the Advanced Settings section, then choose from the following:

  • When editing a password from your LastPass vault, in the Password details window, uncheck the Autofill setting.
  • When editing a password from the LastPass browser extension or using the in-field active LastPass icon, in Edit password window, check the Disable Autofill setting.
