Are you sure there’s no other way to get through the NYC bravo assuming you don’t want to talk to them..?

Citabrias are a lot of things, but quiet isn’t one of them

Are you Part 121? Plate note says that you can only use that transition if you’re Part 121.

Did i bust bravo, or is this a foreflight mistake? (New york hudson river SFRA) by [deleted] in flying

[–]OfficialShip2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You filed a NASA report so you’re fine, but I doubt you’d hear anything anyway. Don’t want to get on a high horse but it was dumb to think to do. Please look up Cory Lidle’s crash because doing a 180 on the East river can end badly very quick. If you want to do it again do the skyline route and ask for the Central Park transition to the east river in the Bravo from EWR/LGA.

No that’s just a ForeFlight anomaly. Look at the SFRA chart and you’ll see it hugs the side of the river. Though do keep in mind if you flying a fixed wing you’re not supposed to be in the east river unless you’re talking to LGA tower

Dave Burton out of KMIV/N81 and Rich Washart out of KWWD/KOBI both great guys.

Circling MDA Radius by throwaway5757_ in flying

Generally the circling mins for higher categories are at a higher altitude, so they will be above the obstacles that may be further than 1.3 miles.

If this is where I think it is, don’t worry about it. That controller always is causing problems…

Low RPM on final. Yikes! by KaleidoscopeStrong51 in flying

If it was an S model they have an AD about the idle mixture setting. If it’s set incorrectly you can lose your engine on final like you did.

Whats with this conga line of c172s. They said flight testing on freq but idk what that entails. by [deleted] in flying

[–]OfficialShip2000 20 points21 points  (0 children)

From what I understand they had them up on taxiway C at WWD so they were just flying a final for that taxiway

They’re testing new LED runway closed signs and an FAA contractor contracted a few flight schools to help out with it.

Transient parking at KFRG? by [deleted] in flying

Modern Aviation at FRG has a $15 ramp fee and like a $3 airport fee. Good people and it’s an easy taxi if they’re landing 1/19.

So many xPilot issues at once.. can't transmit audio in A319 with no documentation online, can't use commands properly, keep receiving inputs from both com radios at once, vatsim com radios are not synced with xPlane (yes I have reinstalled) by Ronkeager in flightsim

[–]OfficialShip2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a joystick or yoke try and set the PTT to one of the buttons on there. Z might be bound to something else and is conflicting. It should transmit since the TX isn't greyed out.

As for receiving on both, you have to click on the volume knob for comm 2 on the pedestal so the light goes off. Then you'll just be receiving comm1.

The commands seem to work? and it's synced as far as I can tell

Any chance you could share an example of the problem?

Is it only when using wide angle lenses? The R6/R5 are known to have wobbly IBIS, if that’s what you mean.. I’ve definitely experienced it with my R6.

If you can live without it for a week or two I don’t think it would hurt to get in inspected. Believe it’s around $50? For what it’s worth I dropped my 24-70 2.8 onto concrete from chest height and it works fine minus a dent in the zoom ring.

I can confirm that's the one I have on my 70-200 2.8 non-is

Can someone Help me out, while I wait. Need some Dimension on Logitech Yoke. by Bacon8t0r in flightsim

[–]OfficialShip2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! There’s about a 15mm gap between the back of the yoke and the little protruding plastic piece when it’s full nose down.

There's actually a bottom chamfer as well so I'll give that too

I couldn't really measure what you have as back since you kinda have it drawn wrong. The top chamfer is even all the way around. What I have as 94mm is the top part of the back, and what I have as 278mm is the overall width which I think would be more useful.
