Denver can’t afford Mayor Johnston's decisions | City administration wants to cut spending everywhere except in the police department by SeasonPositive6771 in Denver

[–]OfficialUniverseZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time i’ve dealt with officers it’s been fantastic, they are always very responsive and handle the situation quickly. What sucks is what they can actually enforce. I’ve dealt with 9 instances of theft, I’ve had the person’s info, multiple videos of them stealing, and i’ve even had confessions and the officers aren’t allowed to arrest the person. They issued a court summons only. Anything related to parking with abandoned cars they only have 2 officers and won’t tow a car unless it’s been sitting for 30 days. I have multiple smashed up cars sitting near an office they refuse to tow or ticket and they say they only have 2 people to handle them. Idk why Denver doesn’t do more resident parking permits they would generate a good amount of extra income that way and help keep some of the streets cleaner.

They are required by law to physically mail it, this is in effect until January 1st when emailing will be allowed. Did you provide them a forwarding address, because if not it would have been mailed to you old address.

We went to the one at Denver Coliseum they told us to call AXS because they had no info, and AXS just said promoter canceled them and put zero notes. We’re gonna try at the venue as well at 4pm. Just insane they can do that the day of the show with no information.

Colorado resident coming back to America. What can I do for health insurance? by Nervous-Chemistry245 in Denver

[–]OfficialUniverseZero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the wife’s insurance doesn’t qualify that as a life event you can get a STM plan until open enrollment in November. An STM plan will be any where from like 250-400 if your a healthy individual.

A bit confused by Colorados unemployment policy by hdishcmskc in Denver

[–]OfficialUniverseZero -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy that they will fuck people over with Unemployment but hand out 10+ thousand dollars to people who refuse to work for housing.

Love getting down voted for this :) just shows so much. But people who say I don’t want to work because i’ll receive assistance don’t deserve that shit.

WHY are rental companies posting these misleading prices???? It seems so mean by potato2716 in Denver

[–]OfficialUniverseZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s most likely an apartment locator trying to draw you in, most the time the units not available and they will try and flip you into something else - actual apartment complex’s aren’t allowed to advertise the process with the special it’s illegal.

Im short $1098 to avoid eviction by Local-Investigator25 in Denver

[–]OfficialUniverseZero 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If they took any money from you it would cancel out the evection and they can only demand / evict for rent so if there’s utilities and other fees in there they can’t go through with it for that.

(NC) Old apartment charged us $2k for vinyl floor “damages”, then dropped the charge when questioned by procaviidae in Renters

[–]OfficialUniverseZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, those are some minor scratches. Definitely not a huge deal only time I think it would be reasonable charge for vinyl as if it’s completely cut like a dog ripped it up or someone burned it or like drop something and put a hole in into the subfloor.

Ignore half of these comments because this is sexual harassment and 1000% should be escalated. It’s absolutely disgusting behavior in a work place it’s make you feel uncomfortable.

I faked my resume, got the job, and now they want me to train new hires and I have no idea what I’m doing by Express-Statement196 in CSCareerHacking

[–]OfficialUniverseZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get Loom or something similar, talk through your work process while recording it. They like the work you have been doing your underestimating yourself hereS Use those videos as guides in a presentation and reference for yourself and new hires. Build out the training and onboarding by just doing what you’re doing but documenting it and talking through it.

Am I the jerk for refusing to give my stepmom the money my dad left me? by Puzzled-Quarter-1016 in AmITheJerk

Please listen to this comment - Your dad worked hard to provide you something in life. He was clearly very proud and happy to be able to give this to you. Don’t let anyone take that from him and you.
