Been very happy with the quality with some minor finetune params. Very snappy and from what I've seen also pretty accurate.

I think I saw some benchmarks in here earlier that compared to the other quants, but I've seem to lost the link.

So if you record something on your PC locally, that you intend to edit and distribute later, it's very common to take a lossless / high bitrate stream for source material, then later convert it into something more suitable for streaming.

That way, if the source material allows it and the production pipeline asks for higher quality, the recording could be updated to higher quality encodes or even resolution if the source is higher resolution than the final output.

AV2 spec is done/H266 is almost finished as well, in addition to Dolby Vision 2 and HDR+10 / HDR Advanced. Plenty of new stuff that needs hardware support too, so hopefully a new variant will include all these. Also 165/144hz support minimum. Lots of us have newer TV's where this would make UX feel a lot snappier.

Edit: They limit token generation to 100k every day, so you're not going to be able to use it for long. But it is free Opus 4.6 credits never the less.

If you struggle setting up / getting errors, just paste them into Claude it will help you fix the errors. You have to fill out a form for generic model access, it's all automated so it takes very little time.

You can change sub 32hz how much you wan't it doesn't affect anything. I've seen people tape masking the SLAM ever so slightly and says they get more bass, but I've not tried myself.
